I went to this establishment today because of the great reviews that was posted on the site and I live right off Dartmouth. When I arrived the young man that was working by himself was on the phone. I politely sat in the chair and waited for him to get finished with his call. At this point I had been there about 15 minutes this was like 5:00 pm. As I was waiting a young man came in and rudely stood at the counter. When the young man got off the phone he immediately asked the young man if he could help him. I looked around thinking this must be a joke or the guy works here. The young man that came in after me started talking about a quote someone gave him at that point I figured he didnt work there after all. I sat there thinking any minute the worker would acknowledge me. He didnt. They walked out of the shop and headed to the guys car. I walked to my car thinking WOW. As I was getting in my car he says "can I help you with something" really, really, as if I would spend my money there. Then he says he thought we were together , let me state this to the people that go off reviews like I do. Im a African American female and the guy that got all the attention was Caucasian. My money is green or multi color and will spend anywhere, but not at this establishment. I would drive out of the way than be treated like Im a nobody.

My Chevy Impala was overheating and the Heat was not working in my car. I took it to a shop on Dix in Lincoln Park they had it for a few days, and said it was the lower Intake Gasket and my waterpump was leaking. So i said "fix it of corse"the guy said $620 ,to make a long story shorter , That didnt fix my car I had a cracked head so the guy said for another $760 he will fix the Head gasket. I went crazy on the guy and he wrote me a check for my money back. So i called Brian he said he will fix the head for less than the check i received from the other guy in L.P. Brian and his uncle tried fixing my car with out opening the engine to save me $ Brian knew i was screwed over at the other shop. To sum it up i could have paid brian to fix the head for a decent price but He said he would put a New Used engine in for about the same amount of money. I gave him the money to find me an engine and once they got the engine in they took all the good stuff of my old engine and put them onto the new engine , ESPECIALLY the waterpump because it was brand new. EXTREMELY happy with the finished job car runs great and only has 70k on the engine Prices are good. Car is Good And I am good.......thanks to your whole team for treating me with respect. I will bring all my car problems to Brian for now on.

Great service. Car started smoking (literally) from the hood while I was on the Southfield freeway. Got on google and found Riverside Auto was close...well that was very lucky. Chatted with Brian and he was very very helpful, told me to wait there and theyd get me towed right away. He got me towed to his shop, found the issue, radiator was leaking from some tubes (Ill be honest, Im a novice and cant remember what they were called, but Brian showed me where the issues were, and the the leaking was obvious). They gave me a quote with all the repairs needed. I excused myself for a moment, presumably to think about it, but really to get on google and compare their quote to "message board experts" expected pricing on a similar repair....and Riverside was below every single expected cost. So needless to say, got the work done and Riverside got me on my way quickly. From broken down, to towed, repaired and on my way in just a couple of hours. Sucks to break down, but glad it happened near Riverside Auto Care.

I don’t write a a lot of reviews but felt I should call out the good service I got from Riverside. I brought my vehicle here after a friend recommended them – he said they did some work on his Range Rover. I just dropped in on a Tuesday afternoon. I met Brian and he quickly gave me a quote on my service work. Brakes needed replacing all-around. He got me a quote faster than the dealer on the phone. I asked him if I came back the next day if he could do all of the work in a couple of hours and he said yes. Shocked – I said I would be back tomorrow. I have owned this car since new and it has always been to the dealer for service, so I was worried about going to an independent shop for what I believe is a rather complicated vehicle (BMW X5). Brian and Mike(?) took it on and did a great job – quick and for a good price. I am very happy and will be back. I also had them change the oil and filter, quick clean. I will be back – this was hassle free and these guys knew what they were doing.

I recently moved and the shop Ive been visiting for some time is far away. I visited this shop because it had good reviews and was close to home. I visited to have routine maintenance done and have what sounded like a squeal in the engine compartment and a wobbling steering wheel checked out. About $1300 in suspension work later, neither the engine squeal or wobbling steering wheel is fixed and my steering alignment is cocked to the left about 20 degrees. I kindly called to see if we can work something out with the steering alignment issue, but sadly I did not receive a response. I give 2 instead of 1 star because the staff was kind to myself and the other customers. My experience here was second-rate and I will explore other options. A $90 check mailed to me for a proper alignment would be reasonable and in order to make things right.

The employees were friendly enough, the ratings were high, and the shop was convenient. I went in for a routine fix of my exhaust. Not only did it last about a week. When I took it back, yes they fixed it for free, as they should have, but it still didnt work after about 2 weeks my exhaust was loud and smelly again. I took my car to another shop in town and it was cheaper and longer lasting. Just saying but I wasted my time going here since they couldnt even fix an easy flex pipe. not once, but twice. Pretty standard service. The new shop even said they did some wonky welding so it is easy to say I will not go back there for my exhaust problems. Oh and the first time I stopped it the front office reeked so horribly of cigarettes I could barely stand it. Word to the wise, theres a reason its illegal in most states to smoke indoors.

Very professional and caring staff! Provided superb and speedy service (the mechanic worked until the job was completed).The owner is a man of his word and does his best to accommodate his customers in a timely fashion. Very clean and organized business. Being a woman, sometimes your get mechanics who try to pull one over on you but the owner was very honest with me and didnt perform any work on my vehicle without explaining the work that needed to be down and showing me why. I would recommend this auto care shop to my friends and family and will continue to utilize them for any of my future auto care needs. Thank you for your excellent customer service!
