As I live in Canada and my son lives in United States for his education in Michigan State University I was looking for some nice fair quote as well as trust able people in Canada as well as United States for work to be done to my son car. Through on line search I found this place and after I spoke to Mr Wes, John ( OWNER ) son I was so impressed with advise,quote and the way he spoke to me really professional customer service which make my decision to just stop shop around. Now as my son car is fixed on September 5th, 2014 with so professional manner very reasonable price me my son including my wife are so happy with only on thought in our mind those people are very honest,respectful and reasonable so I will recommend every body not in United States also in Canada who can afford to go to this place just go to this place, as its very hard to find honest people like those in this industry.

I went to this place for a second opinion, because the first place I went to wanted to charge around $2000 even though the only thing I went in for was a rattle in the front left tire while going over bumps. I had John and his crew inspect my shocks/struts, tires and brakes. The only thing wrong with my car was loose/broken brake hardware. Everything else was fine, and the other shop I went to said all of this stuff was bad. So I ended up paying $60 instead of over $2000. I have been looking for a shop like this for the last 8 years! They are EXTREMELY HONEST and will absolutely not sell you something that you do not need! I will go to MASTER AUTO SERVICE IN TROY, MI. forever! You will not find a shop more honest anywhere, trust me! I will be sending everyone I can to this place! Thanks so much John and the whole crew and MASTER AUTO SERVICE!

Cant be happier after repairing my car with Master Auto. Great job and very reasonable price service. I drive a 07 mustang GT with 62k miles on it. I heard some weird ticking and rubbing noise from the bottom of the car. I took it to two other auto service and let them check. Neither of them could find out what the problem was and told me wait till it gets worse. I was like WTH.Then I did some online research and found this shop. First they drove it and assume it was the driveshaft, which may cost alot of money to replace. I left my car there and let them figure out what was wrong. 2 hours later I receive a call from them and they found out it was the rear driverside brake. They took it out and clean it up. Now the car doesnt make any weird noise other than the loud exhaust(not weirdly loud). And it cost 50 bucks. Im so happy now.

Master Auto is the best, they are always honest. I was having an issue with my blinker not working all the time, I took my car to several places that told me that it was an electrical issue and it would take $75.00 an hour to find the problem. I then had another issue with my car and took it to Master Auto and asked if he could check on the blinker issue also. He called to let me know it was a $10 part and that there would be no labor that they would just put it on while they were completing the other work. Since then I always take my cars there as does my whole family and we are always extremely satisfied with their work and amazed at their honesty.

My experience with Master Auto was by far the best Ive had with that dreaded realm of car repair. As a person who works 8-5 M-F, its difficult to get the kind of service I need on the timeline thats convenient - especially if my car breaks down on a Saturday after everything is already closed. Thanks to the "Early-Bird" key drop off and the free shuttle service, though, I was able to drop my car off on Sunday, get a ride to work on Monday, and have the Master Auto people pick me up from work (right on time, at that!). They were very quick and efficient and their prices were right on target. Highly recommended.

Great Service. Friendly, knowledgeable and most important HONEST!! I have been there several times. One time in particular I took in my mini van (purchased used) that I thought needed a tune up. John called me and informed me that it looked like the tune up had been done recently. Saved me $400. I am sure there are some places that would have done the tune up anyway or worse, not do a tune up, and still charge me! Will keep going back to Master Auto - hopefully not too often ;)

John (and his crew...and his wife) make a fantastic team. They are nice, straightforward, and honest. Ive taken my cars there several times and he has always called me to explain what was needed AND how much it run before he worked on it. If I wanted him to go ahead, he did. If I told him Id take care of it myself (like when my battery was dead and I knew COSTCO could replace it), he was totally fine with that. Great experience all around!

Have taken our cars to Master Auto a number of times in the past. The service charges have been honest and reasonable. They serviced the air conditioner in my car by recharging the freon. Didnt help the first visit, and I returned the car a second time. This time they found a malfunctioning pressure switch in the system. That took care of the problem, and was not charged for the freon. I would return my car to Master Auto for future service.

I am from Virginia and had some business in Detroit MI. I have been to this auto shop once. My Car had a gasket leak and antifreeze was getting into the engone. Master Guys were very professional and fixed the problem. They were also very very honest in admitting things they could not fix and gave me good practical advice. It has been 3 months and the work is perfect. Their charges are also very reasonable. I recommend them.

I originally checked them out on a referral from Dave Ramsey and I was not disappointed. Great, friendly service and a wonderful value--I really felt that John went the extra mile. I would highly recommend them! Its great to have a reliable and trustworthy mechanic/ body shop that charges a fair price and doesnt recommend any unnecessary repairs. It is truly a stress-free experience to take our car in to Master Auto!
