I would NEVER, EVER recommend this moving service to anyone. Ive moved numerous times with various professional moving companies, and this was by far the absolute worst move of my entire life. Much of my furniture was damaged in this local move; absolutely NO care was taken to wrap or pad anything, including impossible-to-replace antique furniture that had previously made it all the way from Florida to Michigan in fine condition. The move was grossly under-quoted, so I ended up paying nearly double the originally stated price - HUGE difference. In addition to furniture & light fixtures being bashed-up, all the hardware is totally missing (thus none of the furniture could be put together on the other end of the move). After unloading everything from storage, weve also just discovered that my new flat-screen t.v. & expensive Boes stereo speakers are mysteriously missing. I fed these guys for two days and gave them all way-more-than-generous tips (in spite of being hugely overcharged for the lousy, totally unprofessional service), and still they felt it necessary to steal from me. If this was the last moving company left on Planet Earth, Id opt for moving my entire household one item at a time via pack mule. Worst move ever (and most costly, in every possible way). If this is the usual quality of service, I seriously have no clue why this company is still in business.

DO NOT USE! Horrible experience and even worse follow up. I stored my furniture and home goods with Big Brother for nearly 2.5 years. I called to confirm the return of my goods the night before. The next morning, the movers were an hour late. Even worse, my power tools were not returned. I called that day twice to follow up and left two messages with the receptionist. Then followed up the next week 3 more times before finally speaking to the president, Scott a full week after. He told me he had spoken with his employees and their "stories" matched up. He said that he would speak with his insurance agent to determine what could be done. I have followed up 3 additional times but he has refused to return my call. I am only asking for the return of my tools. On top of all of this, Scott has refused to provide a refund for the pro rated monthly storage fee which he said would be refunded. I have no options but to file a complaint with the BBB and take legal action. DO NOT USE BIG BROTHER MOVING AND STORAGE. I will pay double to not go through an experience like this again.

I had a terrible experience. The first thing the movers said was that they appreciated tips. They complained the entire time!!! They were moving a two bedroom APARTMENT!! One of the movers was clearly not experienced and had no idea what he was doing. They stopped at the gas station on the way to my new place (on my dime). They took things apart that didnt need to be taken apart (on my dime). When we got to the new place, they dumped all the boxes and smaller items in the front room and I had to spend the rest of the day taking them to the appropriate areas of the home. They didnt put some of the bigger items where I wanted them because they said it would be too hard (isnt that why I hired them and didnt try to do it myself?). Then when it came to pay he made a fuss that I was going to pay credit and not cash when the bill was over $500. I will never hire or recommend this company.

While unloading they backed their truck into our parked car (we were not even in the car) on private property causing significant damage. The person in charge calls boss, explains what happened, apologizes over and over, says dont worry, company will take care of it. OK, accidents happen. We record details, take photos. Next day we call them on how to proceed, they tell us to call our insurance company, not their problem. Our insurance company says that is nonsense, no fault does not apply in such cases, but if we dont get anywhere they will cover it and get it from the movers insurer. We are now wondering if they even have insurance as the driver could not even find proof of insurance in their truck. We got burned. Call someone else so you dont get burned too.

If you value your furniture, do NOT use Big Brother Moving!!! They promised me they would be very careful, but the completely broke a leg off one of my living room chairs. The movers told me that they would have it fixed like new within three days! Three months later--after so many phone calls, I lost track, I finally got the chair back. Not only did it look like someone spray painted it, but the leg was so wobbly we couldnt sit on it. So we began the phone calls again and each time they said they would send someone out to fix it, but now it is 9 months later and still no one has fixed it. That is such poor poor service, I would never take the chance on my furniture there again!!!! BEWARE!!!

My husband and I used Big Brother Moving & Storage this weekend. After reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical, but we could not of had a better experience. We had a pipe bust in our apartment so we had very little time to pack and move. We had 3 movers help us and they were great! They helped us pack, provided boxes, took apart bunk beds and furniture and re-assembled in our new place - all while having a smile on their faces. This was truly like having our big brothers around to help us. And considering the price - they were less than half of other larger moving companies in our area - We saved money and were able to support a local business! I would definitely recommend!

Called this company to move a couch. When we got to my apartment they tried fitting it through the door vertically. .. of course its not going to fit that way. They then tried telling me that the doorway was smaller then at the house they took it out of. The doorway was the same size. I had to have them drive it back to the original house and had to have friends come and help me. Which we had no problems with getting it into my apartment. These guys are lazy. Not worth the money.also they did damage to a door and I have had to call every day to figure out when they are sending someone to fix it.

My husband called to get a quote earlier this morning regarding some boxes we need unloaded. We were told that they need to check to see if they were available the day we needed them. We made sure they knew this was a time sensitive and to let us know. Well they are yet to give us a call. We have called but they dont even answer. I would have appreciated a call back, its just what professional businesses do. Dont you guys do this for a living? I am very disappointed! Thankfully there are other businesses ( your competition) who are happy to get my business.

Big Brother Moving is an excellent company and will provide an excellent experience. The owner Scott is honest and cares about every customer. These bad reviews are unfounded. The guy that said he lost stuff is a fraud. For example, a particular tool he said he lost was not even available on the market at that time. I also learned when I investigated all of this to determine whether to do business with Big Brother, that the owner paid this individual despite the fact that the persons claims were fraudulent.
