I was quoted for a move of a 3/2 apt "about $750 for everything and it will be about 5-6 hours". I was very concerned about how much stuff I had because all other moves I have done (and granted they were military moves) took 6 guys and two days and so I kept calling back to see if someone could come out to my apartment for an onsite estimate. Finally, the day before my move, they humored me and sent someone out. He said it should take one truck about 5-6 hours. On Tuesday, July 3, my three movers came out. Around the 1:15pm mark, I made the comment that I hadnt seen the third guy for a while and I was told that they had sent him home- without telling me. I said without him you guys arent going to make the 6 hour mark. At that time, I was informed that with the boxes I needed to get my move I was already in the $1200s and my apartment was a two day job. I started freaking out since I had only budgeted for $1000, I called the office and the manager told me to tell the movers that all of us needed to get to the office now. We got to the office ( with only 2/3 of my stuff packed) and the staff said that because the office was going to be closed when the move was done, I needed to go ahead and sign my credit slip. The price for the move was $1527!!!!! I said I what about the quote? I was told that if I wanted my stuff on the truck to be delivered I had to pay the $1527. I refused since only a third or so of my stuff had been packed. They threatened to call the cops on me. Needless to say- the cops were called and to get the packed truck delievered I had no choice but to sign the $1527 slip. So they delivered my truck that only had about 2/3 of my stuff and I said what about my other stuff? I was told that I had to call and get a new move- that of course I would had to pay for again. My move ended up costing me $1527. I had a budget of $1000 because of the "quote that included everything" So here I am, a single income mother of two daughters and I paid $1527 for my 15-year old daughter and me to move the rest of our stuff ourselves which took 3 days and 12 trips back and forth in a borrowed pick-up truck. I did call the owner on Thursday, July 5 to complain but he was more interested in if when his movers were there if they did a good job. Never mind the fact that I was hysterical because we had to finish the move ourselves or that I didnt have the money although my quote was half the actual price, never mind the movers packed formal long dresses in a small box, triple folded instead of a wardrobe box so all the dresses are wrinkled now or the fact they broke my barometer or a china glass and that is just I was able to unpack to re-use boxes. Do not EVER use two men and a truck!!!!!!!!! Go with Summit Movers instead!!!!!!!

The experience from the initial quote to the farewell was one to pass on! The gentleman (I cant remember his name -shame on me) that I had gotten the initial quote from broke everything down for me. I had at least 30 questions (I wasnt sure which place-house,condo,townhouse or even city I really wanted to move to so he worked with me) and he was so patient and made feel like a valued customer. After I had confirmed my location and had times for move out and move in, I called two men and a truck (spoke with James) and they were a little concerned about the tight elevator times but he let me know that they would find a way to make it work. When the day came, they gave me an ETA, arrived on time (I appreciated because we are charged hourly), introduced themselves (I thought this was great because they were handling all my personal belongings), asked if I had any special requests, and began immediately. They were efficient and professional to say the least. Not only were they able to work with my allotted elevator time (two oversized hard wood canopy style bedroom sets, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and patio), but we had time to spare! The main piece for my bed is oversized (and SUPER heavy) and looked like there was no way it could fit through the stairway. So, they had to stop and reasses the situation (I saw them try every angle possible and I really didnt think it was going to work) but to no avail they were able to get through without damaging my furniture or the walls! When they finished we did a final walk through, signed the paper work, and they were gone. We move a lot for work and will definitely be using two men and a truck every time! Antonio, Leroy, and Javorris THANK YOU ALL for your HARD HARD WORK. James, thanks for your SUPERIOR customer service! We look forward to being able to share our experience with our customers and everyone we work with!

Original packing at the old house went well. Things were well wrapped and protected. Problems started at the new address. One of the guys got heat exhaustion and dropped out of the action. They should have called someone after that to assist but didnt. Single guy dragged our leather armchair up the stars and scratched the leather. I instructed them on how to take apart the bed (its a large King bed and complex). They took it apart far more than it needed to be and resulted in time consuming reassembly. All the above I could overlook due to one worker dropping out but what finally made it a 2 star was that they had wrapped a large dresser up in mats and saran wrap. OK no problem. BUT than tipped it up on its end resulting in everything in the drawers falling to the side and making a real mess of all the drawers (Guys take out the drawers). I couldnt open several drawers because of stuff piled up. Good workers, polite and friendly, not lazy, but inexperienced and not prepared on how to deal with unplanned events (one worker dropping out). Would I use them again? Maybe, maybe not. Frankly I had a better move when I hired two day laborers and did it myself. But I see that most experiences on here are very positive so Im going to chalk this up to being untypical.

My experience was excellent! These two guys...Sean and CJ completely cleaned out a full bedroom packed with stuff and a very full two car garage in 2 hours. Carried all of the furniture, lamps, dishes, pots and pans, beds, bedding and a lot of miscellaneous junk and put it on my back porch. (I obviously have a very large back porch) they stored it and organized it so I can get to the things I need. Now that the garage is cleaned out, I have room to move my mom into my house and fit all her furniture in the garage. Yes, I had them clean out the garage just to refill. I definitely will request Sean and CJ to come back to move my mom into my house! Seriously I had never met or seen these guys before and I would recommend them to anyone needing help to move.
