Ive used Two Men and a Truck for 3 moves now. The first two moves I made back in 2008 and 2011 were great. HOWEVER, my most recent move was a HORRIBLE experience. The team arrived at my mobile home on 9/2/16 and did a walk through with me. Then, right away, the one mover asked to use my bathroom which I came to find out he actually needed to "move his bowels" to put it nicely. I didnt think that was very professional but I do understand people have emergencies. I showed them everything I WASNT taking with me which amounted to a couch, a TV stand, some bunk beds, a dresser, and a table. Everything else was going. I admit I was a little unprepared and was in my bedroom finishing packing it up along with my bathroom while they moved boxes and everything else. They did not wrap anything with moving blankets, as they had done in the past, and they were not very careful with my items. They banged things into walls, doors, etc. They were finished with what they decided they were going to load around 10:30am and asked if I was going to meet them out at the new house (earlier I had overheard them talking about when they needed to be done in order to make an afternoon move). The new house was roughly an hour away and they needed to come back to Grand Rapids afterwards. They essentially told me when they were finished and leaving. There were still miscellaneous boxes, grocery bag totes filled with things, floor lamps, etc. that they decided they werent going to load. It took me two additional trips back to my old place (2 hours round trip) to get the rest of my stuff in my car. I also had to leave some items that I couldnt fit and because I was not making a 3rd trip back. They unloaded my items at the new house and at some point, someone had to use the bathroom again where I later found urine on the floor. I couldnt believe it. I filled out my "How did we do" survey and was called within an hour to discuss why I answered the way I did. I told the person that called me the full story and that I wanted to be refunded at least half of what I paid to "make things right" because I felt they did half the job. I was told that he could not authorize that and would have to talk to his manager and call me back that same day (Friday) or the following Monday. I never received a call back from him. I called a couple of days ago and left a voicemail on someones machine to call me back but, again, I havent heard anything back from these people. They clearly are not interested in making it right. I will NEVER use this company again. Theyve become so big that service is NOT their main focus anymore. Its only about PROFIT. I would now recommend "Quick and Careful Moving" because I used them to move some furniture I bought from a place that did not deliver. They were very polite and took very good care of the furniture.

READ BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY: This company has been a nightmare to deal with. We had our baby grand piano and bedroom furniture moved. The piano survived it but the pedals were not installed properly, there was a couple dings and dents in the finish and there was white paint flecks all over the side. They also failed to wrap our expensive bedroom furniture resulting in numerous dents, dings, chips and scratches. All of the seams on the legs of our nightstands and dresser were split and there were scratches and grooves in the stone top of a night stand. Upon inspecting the furniture after the movers left we found all of these problems and even found an area the movers had tried to hide with a brown marker. After contacting the company we waited several weeks for their refinisher to come out. Whoever they hire out is VERY unprofessional and did a terrible job. The refinisher came in with stains and sprays which he proceeded to get all over our brand new carpet. He also kicked his lacquer thinner over and left chunks of stain all over the bedroom. Two Men and Trucks manager began to ignore our phone calls and emails until we contacted corporate. Finally a manager came out to take pictures and assess the remaining damage and awful repair attempt. He agreed that it was a bad job and decided to move all of the furniture out to the refinisher. When the movers were moving the furniture out this time one of the corners that was supposed to be repaired, crumbled and left stain over the new carpet. The movers promised to have their manager call and check on the carpet but we never received a call. When the furniture was returned there was still a chunk missing from the dresser, so it was sent back, again it left more stain streaks in the carpet and they promised us a phone call from the manager. Again, no phone call. After a couple weeks the dresser was returned with another poorly done job. This time we are leaving it because we dont want anything else to go wrong. The movers promised again that a manager would get in contact with us and again we havent heard anything. This company has tried to make it right but has hired a terribly unprofessional refinisher and does not communicate at all. We still have a poor repair job and scratches on the stone top of our nightstand. We will not be using this company in the future or recommending them. Very upset that we paid so much to have our expensive furniture moved and have had to deal with all of this. Very unprofessional.

I was very pleased with the service from 2 Men and a Truck! My help fell through at the last minute and I couldnt get an answer from the 28th St location so I called the NE location. Im so glad I did! Laura was wonderful, helpful and got me an appointment the next day. The "Two Men" were efficient, friendly and did excellent work! At first, I was a little concerned about the hourly rate but they were so worth it! They were so much faster than the 8 dear friends who loaded the cubes for me that we were done far earlier than I expected. Truly professionals! Didnt even flinch about the very heavy couch or all the stuff going upstairs or into the basement. I was so pleased with the service that they gave for the price that I asked them to stay and arrange furniture which they did gladly! They even gave some advice on arranging it. I would glad use this company again. Thank you so much!

Had Andrew, Logan, and Levi move an old antique Coke machine from a storage space to the basement of my house. They were very meticulous in every detail, from properly wrapping the machine in padding to being extremely cautious with protecting our walls in our home. They didnt rush, took their time, yet still finished the job in a timely manner. All three gentlemen were very courteous, shook a firm hand, and looked me straight in the eye. Bang for the buck, they did an excellent job. The office staff was also wonderful, making sure I was properly notified of procedures, etc, without completely bombing my inbox with unnecessary emails. If you need to move something or everything, this is the crew you want.

I called 2 Men + Truck yesterday. I needed help with two extremely heavy items. We scheduled for this evening, but I made it clear I hoped they would come earlier. And, they did! Three (not two) clean-cut young men showed up in their clean-cut truck with an extremely fancy electro-mechanical dolly that carries heavy things (heavy as a piano) up stairways. We had the whole thing done in two hours, including their drive time. That was just over twenty-four hours after I first called. Everything exactly as I wanted it. Thank you! I never could have organized this on my own. Even my strongest friends could not have accomplished this. Call Two Men and a Truck. And, tip your two or three men generously.
