We needed to have the backflow on our sprinkler system checked for the city. We called Mr. Plumber who charged us $39.95 for the check. They found it failed and gave us an estimate for over $200 to fix it on top of the original cost for the test. After we couldnt get a straight answer about which parts they were looking to replace we called another plumber. They found it was just a rubber ring which was a little warped and all it cost us was the original charge to check the backflow in the first place. ($65). The estimate from Mr. Plumber included another $39.95 to retest the system after they fixed it. I found out the test takes all of about 2 minutes and I find it quite unscrupulous that they would charge another $40 for a 2 minute test when they were already on site to fix it in the first place. We were VERY disappointed in Mr. Plumber and would not recommend them to anyone.

Received a postcard in the mail stating that they did backwater device testing that is required by the city of GR and they charged $39.95. Since they were one of the more affordable, my husband called to set up the appointment. Today they came and instead of filling out the required form that they had been left, they took their check, and left us with a near $300 estimate for parts and repair with absolutely no explanation to either. Now we are being faced with having our water shut off next week, and I am out $40 for a service that was never completed. I filed a complaint with the BBB today. I will be calling another plumber for a second opinion. VERY disappointed.

After receiving a postcard for $39.95 backflow testing-something we had to have done per the city-, I scheduled Mr. Plumber. They gave me a 6 hr appointment window and explained where I could leave a check and form if not home. I happened to be home when Juan came by. He was extremely friendly, explained the issue, and was able to repair our system on the spot. I understand such an appointment window may not work for everyone but considering it cost us half of what the other bids came in at, I was extremely pleased with the service and now we have the necessary paperwork completed for the city, so we will definitely keep them in mind the next time!

Scheduled an appointment with Mr. plumber. They gave me a 4 hr window. I was home the entire 4 hours but for 45 min I was playing in the backyard with my 3 yr old. (While my infant was napping). Apparently they came during that time. No call when they were near or when they arrived and I didnt answer the door. They just expected me to wait in the house the entire 4 hrs and wait by the door. I called and the woman was rude and said it was my fault. I would not recommend them. Not customer oriented.

Had to get the underground sprinkler checked at my rental house in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also needed help with leaky shower. I was nervous and skeptical because hiring good contractors long distance is a pain!!! The girl on phone was very patient and took a lot of time to explain how it all works. The guy called me from my rental house and explained what was wrong with shower. The price was not cheap but fair. He fixed the shower and tested the sprinkler system. Great Job!!! Will use them again.

We had a leak, and I couldnt be more dumb when it comes to plumbing. He could have told me my thing ma jingy had a leaking whats it called, and it would cost $__,000.00 and I would have had to believe him. However, it was a simple matter, he explained the process to me and what was wrong. Fix was more than reasonable, ended up costing a whole lot less than I was expecting. The problem was solved, havent had a problem since. Plus, Juan is just a great guy. Would highly recommend.

Very unprofessional, Lack of responsiveness. They discriminate against people. The claims they make for the services they provide are false. They have alternative agendas that have nothing to do with the services your asking them to do. Protect and guard your dignity and call someone else. Dont let them in your home.

Mr Plumber came out to test our back flow preventer for $40. They said it didnt hold pressure and would cost $175 to fix. We had Petrson plumbing come out to do the test and get a second opinion and it passed the pressure test with flying colors. Not trustworthy.

Total no show, no call for booked service. Wasted an entire afternoon waiting for nothing. Cant get through on the phone and the voice mail is full. What a waste of time. Now my service is still not done and I took half a day off for nothing. Dont bother.

Forty bucks to check the backflow preventer, but it had a bad seal (a $2 part that takes 2 minutes to change). The "estimate" was $20 in parts and $80 in labor. Mr Plumber is probably great if you are a money tree, if you want sanity in pricing, keep looking.

Didnt show up for an appointment & im glad they didnt after reading other experiences. Dont give this company any of your time or money.
