I had purchased several (3 or 4) laptops through Laptop Xpress and was usually pretty happy with the service and support. However, since the new owners have taken over (late 2014/early 2015??) I will NEVER go back again. My last laptop purchase was a series/comedy of errors. They erased my wifes hard drive, tried to give us back an entirely different laptop, couldnt replace files when a backup was brought in, couldnt recover files, etc. etc. The machine is a HP EliteBook 8350 and we had problems with it from day one (took 10-20 min to boot up, a series of critical errors, non stop updating, etc). Never got the copy of Windows 7 that was supposed to go with it. List goes on and on. Several of the individuals I spoke to in the store or on the phone throughout this last ordeal sounded/looked like they were stoned or just completely unable to communicate/interact with someone not on the other end of a terminal. Dealing with owners was the last straw. Got the run around. He was either in the "other" store or she wouldnt be back to the store (Highland branch) until later. Long story short, look elsewhere unless there is new mgmt. It is not worth the hassle and more importantly the time. I spent almost as much as I did for the laptop just trying to recover data that they corrupted (from my backup source in addition to the original hard drive they erased). The time I wasted was worth far more than the money spent. Just cant get it back. Again - I dont know when the ownership changed or if it changed again. However, if it is the same owners as late 2014/2015 - stay away. It is a shame because previous owners were very customer service oriented and I prefer to do business locally.

I took my Macbook Pro in when my hard drive crashed. Needed to install a new copy of the OS too as I was too lazy to create a backup. This was my first experience with them, and the owner was friendly and gave me fair deals. For example, I also needed a data cable and he asked if I wanted to buy one from him. I asked him, "how much?" He quoted a price and I said Id think about it because I wanted to check on the internet how much itd be. Well, it was nearly the same price. So I thought that was nice that he didnt try to rip me off. The fee was reasonable for the repair. Aside from parts, to install the new hard drive and a fresh install of the OS it was about $100. Note: It did, however, take about one week to fix because, according to the owner, he had to order a part and wait for it to arrive. All in all, Im happy and glad to know if my laptop crashes again I have a trustworthy computer repair shop around the corner. I would recommend them, give em a try! I will update if my laptop wasnt fixed properly or if I run into problems.

The motherboard in my macbook pro died and i took it in for them to verify. as expected the motherboard was dead, but they also said unfortunately, your hard drive is also bad. we can probably recover the data for you, if you want. thinking that two things dont go bad at once, i figured i would take the drive and fried laptop home, and put the drive in an enclosure to check if i could recover the data myself. when i arrived to get my stuff i asked how they would recover the data. we would put it in an enclosure and plug it in as a usb drive. so, i said then the drive isnt bad, like you said?. well, it has bad sectors and can crash any time. i dunno, it worked perfectly for me. i feel like they were trying to scam me for a data recovery fee.

Waited to hear on a laptop repair. When I called I was told they had left me a voicemail 3 days prior. I not only had no missed calls but I definitely did not have a voicemail. I still told them I wanted them to do the repair and now 3 days later I will be calling because I have yet to hear anything. Price is only average at best. Customer service is lacking.

Went to these guys for a price on a machine to play my games, the price they quoted was below what the guys down the street gave me. I gave them the ok to build it and when I picked it up the price was cheaper and the specs were better.
