My Mother had a problem with the lights in the upstairs of her home and called several elections to come investigate the problem. Blue Ribbon was the first to respond and charged her $300.00 to tell her that the whole upstairs would need to be rewired at a cost of $2700.00. I thought that sounded a little on the high side so I told her to get a few other bids. I very reputable local contractor came out later that day and solved the problem for a total cost of $125.00 in about one hour. They did tell her that she should update the wiring upstairs with in the next couple year and quoted her $800 to $1200 dollars( which is less than 1/3 to 1/2) of the quote of Blue Ribbon. When she called Blue Ribbon back to ask for a refund she was informed that she would not receive refund. This company tried to take advantage of a single lady and rip her off. Do not under any circumstances use BLUE RIBBON ELECTRICAL

These folks came to my home and charged $433 to push a reset button (that was in the kitchen) for outlets not working in my dining room. My husband was made to sign an agreement before work was begun and didnt feel he could protest. When I learned of this I was surprised and upset because we were acquainted with the electrician, so I called to dispute the charges. Victoria was very sweet (no one was rude), and explained to me how reputable they are. She said the diagnostics were extensive (they were at my home less than an hour), which raised the price to $433. They feel this is entirely reasonable, they had my money, and they werent budging. For many people this represents a weeks pay, again, for an hour of diagnostics and then pushing a reset button. Pretty ridiculous. If you want a fair price, go elsewhere.

We have used Blue Ribbon Electrical Services on several occasions over the years. They have always been very courtious, on time and always cleaned up after completing their work. We have referred them to others who have come back later just to say thanks for sending them a dependable electrician. Whether it is emergency or project work, it doesnt matter to us. Blue Ribbon Electrical Services is the only electrical service company we call. Lifes to busy to try to shop around. If you have a dependable contractor who is a true professional.....why shop around?

My elderly Mother-in-Law who was widowed in the last year called Blue Ribbon to repair a small fluorescent light. The electrician was there for less than an hour and charged $400.00. I believe he did complete the simple repair but I know lawyers and doctors that dont charge that kind of hourly rate for their services. When we called the company to complain, they explained that they dont charge by the hour, they charge by the job. So be ware of this company. If you have anything that requires some real work, you may need a home equity loan. August 2014.

Can I give less than a 1 star rating? The owner of this business, Wes, came to my house to work on my electrical system. After he worked 1/2 an hour I said whats this going to cost? He lost his temper and very angrily said "You agreed to pay me $400!" I said, I never agreed to anything, I only said your prices are high. So he packed up and left! I offered to pay him for his work and he said, and I quote, "There is a name for people like you!" What is that Wes? People who ask what you are charging? This guy is nuts! AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

DO NOT USE. It is a rip off. I add my voice to everyone else. I wish I read the reviews. It starts with a sweet lady answering " How can I make you smile ?" then she tells you they ( Wes ) will show you the prices before doing anything but they have a travel fee of $69. The fees are outrageous. The smart ones lose $69 but this is set up to get old ladies and naive people. I had to do 1 star with no lower options

I wanted a quote for a 20 kW Kohler generator. They wanted to charge me $80 just to come out to quote! Wow. I have no idea how this company is in business.
