I have been coming to Glitz and having Jessica Aurora for the past 4 years take care of my total beauty needs (hair, eye brows, etc). I am a top executive formerly for General Motors and now for Booz Allen Hamilton (Principal for Engineering & Science) out of Washington, DC. Jess, as well as the salon, do such an outstanding job on my hair that I travel back from overseas as well as DC to get my hair done - Color, Extensions, & most important styling. In addition to Jess strong artistic talents in doing hair, her dedication and passion to always make the style the "best of the best" and the number of complements that I receive is a testimonial to the her professionalism and the professionalism of the salon. In addition, she sends an "I Care" message and has flexibility that always works her clients into the schedule no matter how busy her schedule is that day or week. I also am very impressed with the number of great upcoming hair stylists Jess has mentored and the quality of on the job training that she delivers. Only the customer really sees this on a day to day basis. If I could open my own salon, she would by far not only the first I would hire to be the lead hair stylist, but her honesty and integrity in oversight of how the overall business runs is second to none. I have had my hair done from many areas around the US, Europe, Asia and now DC and my total experience cannot be compared to coming to Glitz and Jess. I had a really bad experience. Last spring I came in and wanted my light blonde hair dyed light brown. I showed the stylist a picture of the color so there would be no confusion. She dyed it so dark it was nearly black. I paid over $200 for this color change. When I came back for a correction, she said the only way to really lighten it would be with highlights. That would run me another $100! I spoke with the manager and saw another stylist for a correction. The stylist told me I should have never been charged as much as I initially was. She tried to fix my hair, but it ended up turning orange. My husband went into the salon and expressed our disappointment. He requested a refund. She refused to give us a refund, but said she would set me up with another stylist at another location. We told her we felt it would be insane for us to keep coming here, as they were damaging and ruining my hair. She said that was the best they would do, but they are "sorry" for what happened to my hair. They never give out any refunds to dissatisfied customers. Also, they talked with the stylist who did my hair to make sure it doesnt happen again. In short, I was over charged, time wasted, and walked embarrassed by what this salon did to my hair. I warn anyone from going there. Horrible business. Salon Blue ended up fixing my hair up right. Want to go to a real salon, a stylist who was in vogue magazine, go there. Not this place!!!!

I used to get my hair done by Leah and she was amazing but she left the salon abruptly last year. I was so nervous to try someone new that I waited 3 months before I finally in desperation reached out to Leah for a recommendation. The stylist she recommended was nice but her skills are no where near what Leahs were. I got highlights and lowlights then finished with a cut. She didnt put enough highlights in the crown of my head so my hair is really dark in the crown and has heavy lines of demarcation in the back due to her missing the color pattern. In addition, my cut wouldnt lay right so a week later I went in for her to fix just the cut. She tried but my hair just never laid right which isnt acceptable when you pay 150 dollars. My last complaint was the fact that Leah was very expensive but way worth it. The new stylist originally charged my $50 less so I was okay with the lack of skill. When I got to my car the receptionist called to tell me that Renee messed up the ticket and she needed to charge me an additional $50 for my hair. I reluctantly walked back in and paid the difference knowing I would cut ties with this salon and never go back.

Leah McCarty has been doing my hair for about 6 years now and I could not ask for better quality, service, and a good friend to talk to. Leah has cut, colored, and used various treatments and products on my hair. I will not go to anyone else for my hair because she has never disappointed me, and always tends to bring out a new style in me that I never knew I could pull off! She has a great way of sticking to your desired routine, or choosing a style that will best suit you. She does smooth and adequate work, and never leaves customers disappointed. Her positive and up lifting personality really helps when having conversation with customers. Not only will you leave Glitz salon with a wonderful hair style and look, but you will leave with a positive, happy, and confident attitude after spending time with Leah. Please take time to stop in and try out her fantastic work for yourself.

Leah McCarty has been doing my hair for a few years now. She is absolutely incredible!! I went in this past time not knowing exactly what color I wanted and Leah pulled out everything she had just to make sure we had decided on the right color. My hair turned out exactly as I had wanted it. She is truly amazing and I would suggest her to anyone. She clearly knows what she is doing, and understands her clients. I couldnt ask for a better stylist. She is also probably the most entertaining person I have ever met. You will have so much fun while youre there. You must go to Leah; I promise, you will LOVE your hair and your experience!!

Awhile ago I had Jordan add more blonde highlights to my hair. My hair was more highlighted before I came in then when I left. The next day he had fixed it but I was still charged and I gave him a tip just to see where his Integrity level was at and Im not talking a little time$20 tip it was more like $40. My hair turned out pretty fried and Im pretty disappointed. I thought I could trust him and I was completely disappointed with the services. I would never suggest Glitz ever in life for any type of services.

I left with half the skin under my eye ripped off, which she then put alcohol on!!!!!, shescrewed up the color so had to remove it then decided to not tell me about all the extra charges. I feel like every time I go in there they add charges! Todays cost me 148.00 for color... That is without a cut!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I constantly go back thinking they wont do that agin, but am continually disappointed. Will not spend another dime there.

For a fresh new look, let Leah McCarty be your stylist! Leah has been my stylist for years and I have never been disappointed. Leah always knows how to freshen up my look whether it is with a new cut or trying out a new color. She cares about her clients and wont let them leave the chair until they are satisfied. If you are looking for a new stylist, you dont have to look anymore. Let Leah be your new stylist, you wont regret it!
