First thing I want everyone reading this review to know: Go see Aaron Leonard at Milnes Ford. My car buying experience was up and down at so many other dealers that it was refreshing to interact with Aaron and his Sales Manager Ken at Milnes Ford. The game has changed for the dealers and consumers. You cant just walk in and offer 20% below sticker anymore and be taken seriously (believe me I tried at the beginning of my search). The internet has tightened competition for everyone and these guys know this and price their cars aggressively to begin with. I had given up on a Ford CPO car because dealers were inflating their prices due to the fact that they were certified. Not at Milnes Ford. Not only was the car I purchased certified, it was a better price than similar ones that were not and because it was certified and had about 55k miles on it they had to put new tires on to meet the qualifications. Thats probably $800 right there and now I dont have to worry about the tires heading into winter. They also dont have any other crap fees like other dealers. Their doc fee was $190. I had been to dealers who charged everyone an extra $400+ just because some cars needed a ton of work and some didnt so everyone share in the cost of fixing them up before selling them. I wasnt pressured on warranties, or wheel protection and interior plans or whatever. It was just straightforward with Aaron. I dont live close to Milnes Ford so I wont be able to use them for service in the coming years but if their service is like their sales youll be happy Im sure. We closed the deal over a balloon for my 5 yr old and a Ford keychain for my wife. It was that simple. I think they offered free delivery but I was only about 70 miles away from them so I decided to rent a car from Hertz and drop it off in Lapeer. Well, as I was on my way there Aaron called and told me that he found out the Lapeer location was closed so I had to head to Lake Orion instead. They sent Sabrina to come pick me up in a loaded F-150 and drive me the rest of the way to the dealership. She was great to talk to for that 30 minute trip. I arrived and everything was ready, 3 big balloons in the backseat for my son and weighted down by a keychain. I don’t know if Aaron will have the car I want next time I go searching for one, but he will be my first call to find out.

Yikes. Do not deal with Bill. I set up a 1pm appointment to come drive a used vehicle. So, I drove 2 hours to see the vehicle with the intent to come home with it. I got there and test drove it, It was great. We sit down at Bills desk @ 1:25pm ready to buy. Bill tries to sell me on a similar suv, i was not interested as i came 2 hours for a specific suv. Bill walks away and helps another couple. 20 minutes go by and finally he comes back. I tell him I ready to buy this. He walks away again. At this time I asked him to get the paperwork started and I get helped by Rhonda. We start working through the purchase. She goes to get the title and paperwork to finalize this at 2:15pm. She walks back in and says, Please hang on I need to go check something. She walked back in 15 minutes later and said someone already bought that suv. They literally sold it at 1:30 by a deposit that came in? Really?! I ask to see a manager. Blake Milnes (which i assume is the owners son) walks in. He mentions something along the lines that first come first serve. Honesty and Integrity are my values. Milnes Ford did not show any. Rhonda, you were great. Thank you. As for this review, I do not reccomend Milnes Ford.

Rhonda…I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative and impressed I am by your professionalism and the personal attention that you showed me. Your commitment and insatiable effort to find me exactly what I was looking for far exceeded my expectations. Especially when it comes to my past experiences with other automotive consultants. YOU truly are a professional! I gave you a long and specific list of preferences and you didn’t stop until you found what I wanted. I have proudly recommended you to a lot of people! Thank you for everything! P.S. I dont know how you did it, but you actually put me in a car that I never would have normally considered and now absolutely love! That is something you cannot learn but is a perfect example of your ability to see beyond what the client "thinks" they want, but more of what they "need" to fulfill their wish list. By listening to you I got 3 times more vehicle than I would have if I would have not listened to you! For less money too!Youre a pro!

Its always exciting to see inspiring, young adults delve into what they have been trained and educated to do... Sabrena Fuller not only loves Lapeer, and the newly-constructed Milnes-Ford dealership; but she LOVES people and went to school for Sales and Marketing! Shes had many jobs and worked very hard through school to finally get into what she was working toward, and Im very proud of her. She actually helped me get into a new lease-program on a new Ford last week, made me feel very confident in making my choice, answered all of my questions, and made sure I had the best deal they could offer... We were so fortunate to find great people to work with at Milnes Ford in Lapeer. My husband & I were both looking for different vehicles.Our time was limited to find what we wanted on our own so we spoke to Ken (the used car manager) about what we were looking for. He went right to work on finding us both the vehicles we were hoping for - right down to the color and low miles.Within days my husbands vehicle was found and within a few weeks, my dream vehicle was on the lot. Val Hamilton (our sales person) was so nice to work with and whom we spent the most time.Couldnt ask for better customer service. He was there from start to finish, making sure we were completely satisfied down to every detail.We are sure to return to this dealership for future purchases. Thank you Val for being so good at what you do. You set a great example in your field.

I wont bore anyone with details, but Im a 36 year old man thats walked through the door of many, many car dealerships in my time. Ive NEVER been treated so well. And Im not speaking about one person. I literally mean everyone that was there that could help me. Mind you, I wasnt buying anything. In fact, my issue was a warranty repair. From getting me right in to staying late to being just plain friendly. I dont care where I live in the country the next car I buy will be from Milnes Ford in Lapeer mi. A special shout out to Chad Collick, service manager and there head diesel mechanic. Youve got to try this place. All the deal ships say theyre different, these guys actually are. You can tell when some looks at you if they care about there problems (there job tasks, selling, making money etc) or your problems. Theses guys care about you.
