Today, I had an appointment for a haircut. First, off let me explain that I wear my hair in a "Afro." I needed about 1/2 inch of my hair cut due to split ends. My appointment was at 930 and when I arrived they were closed. So, I waited because I had driven 45 minutes from Belleville. Finally, after a few minutes they arrived and opened. I explained of how I wanted my haircut and even had pictures. I also, told the barber/hair stylist that I didnt want my hair cut like George Jetson from the cartoon the Jetsons. Basically, short on the sides and longer in the top. Pretty much a football helmet look! Im a female and often times barbers like to cut my hair how a male would wear their hair. I made him quite aware of past experiences. He claimed he understood exactly what I wanted. The owner Tito began cutting my hair and he smelled of beer. I shouldve left when I smelled the alcohol. He also kept stopping and talking to his wife along with other customers. Now, usually I wouldnt have mind but I was in a time crunch. I showed him the pictures of what I wanted and told him. I wanted a 1/2 inch cut off because I still like to wear braids, twistouts, or put a curl definer in it and wear it curly. Ive been natural for exactly one year and basically he cut off all the length. I cant get it braided or wear a twistout if I wanted to. Im basically starting all over. He knew I was upset because he never showed me the back of my hair in the mirror. The back and sides are extremely too short. HE BASICALLY BUTCHERED MY HAIR! FUTURE REFERENCE IF SOMEONE SHOWS A FEW PICTURES! GO BY THE PICTURES AND ASK QUESTIONS. IF YOU DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS THAN DECLINE TO SERVICE THEM! IM EXTREMELY UPSET AND UNSATISFIED.
