I usually never write review online but this is my worse experience with a company ever. I found them on craigslist, and the guy Steve who I contacted seemed decent over the phone. I am not a hot water heater expert, but it looked like he installed it correctly, and did the proper protocol. However, a year later I find out he did not pull a permit with the city after I had it inspected. Then I contacted him and he said he went to the city and pulled a permit. He lied to me and said he sent a check and paid for it. That was never the case, as I had to send the city $75 for a recert fee. However, I called him and told him about it, and he said he just mailed it after he told me he paid it a week or two ago, a real class act. The final straw was when he said he would come on black friday and fix it, this was about 3 times from him rescheduling with me and canceling on me. I knew he was not going to show and he never did. I dont know how this guy is still in business, but avoid this company at all costs. He did not even place a pan with the installation of hot water heater. I will be reporting him to the state of Michigan.

Started a job 2 weeks ago and finished 95% of the work. Called at least 10 times and also texted about 15 times to finish the job which I found on HomeAdvisor. The only way I got the job done is HomeAdvisor called him "I think they my have threatened to take him off there site if he didnt finish the job" thats my thought and wouldnt you know after complaining to HomeAdvisor all the sudden he called and wanted to come right over. The funny thing is he just emailed me and told me how bad of a person I was, but all I wanted was the job finished which I already paid in full. He left such a mess two weeks later Im still cleaning up his mess. If I could give a zero I would, but just wanted to let everyone know buyer beware because you never know what youre going to get. If youre a gambler this is your guy! This is his exact email he sent me: You are an ungrateful despicable person and thank god I dont have to do anymore business with you Update: Look at this companys better business bureau ratings online and complaint (complaint not from me).

Had a back-up water powered sump pump installed. Steve called immediately after requesting online quote and was able to do the job an hour later. The quote was fair and there were no surprise costs. Steve and Leon went straight to work and finished the job in about an hour. Everythings working perfect and we dont have to worry about the basement flooding again. Only difference was the original brand Steve told me was for Liberty, but we ended up with a Koehler brand because the warranty is longer with Koehler. So, even though it was different, the price was the same and it was for a better product overall. All in all, extremely pleased and satisfied!

Steve Olson installed a hot water heater. The connections were loose and leaked gas for 8 months until I noticed. He warranties the installation for 12 months, I called him after 8 months. He committed to coming out and fixing it 3 times. I took off time from work twice waiting for him. He never called to cancel. He just never showed. I called him many times. I think the only times I could actually reach him were when he did not recognize my number. He was very personable. But shoddy work and unreliable. I finally paid someone else to finish his job.

Do not hire Steve unless you want to die. Had carbon monoxide detector go off. The Fire Dept. came and evacuated the house. They said it was water heater. Called Steve the next day. He came out and just changed the exhaust pipe. Charged me $200 for $15 in parts. So the next night the detector go off again. So he did not diagnose the problem. When we got the new water heater the pipe he put on just fell off. I did a formal complaint. See what happens.
