So many people wrote not to use this company and if I could give 0 stars I would. I have never seen a company care so little about doing their job. You pay them to come into your home and do nothing. I had someone come in to fix a toilet. Second time already. It runs water continuously into the bowl after a few flushes, so we keep the valve off. First guy goes in. Is there for just about 10 minutes. Says he fixed it and it was "parts put in incorrectly." Im cool with it, happy to have a working toilet finally. About three flushes in and the same thing happens again. I call and then send a Drake out to fix it. I thank him for being there. Maybe 3 or so minutes in hes got the valve on, sitting on the bowl of the toilet with the lid closed looking at the back and he says nothing is wrong with the toilet so he cant fix anything. I. Was. Baffled. This man hasnt flushed the toilet once, hes just sitting on the bowl the water runs into not even looking at it, and with his expertise claims there is no issue. Okay. I tell him there definitely is. I wouldnt call someone to fix a toilet if its not broken. Maybe some people do? I personally am not into that. Maybe he just doesnt know. He tells me again he cant do anything to fix it. At this point Im done. Some people only have one toilet and if this is the kind of "professional" they get they will never be able to use it. People need their plumbing to work for everyday needs. Its really not something I can just not use. I told him I pay for a reason and I really just need him to do his job. He left anyway, not fixing a single thing. He was rude the whole time. He clearly didnt care about his job. I could be a better plumber than he is because at least I know to flush a toilet before saying there isnt an issue. If you value your time and money, dont use this company. My personal experience left the impression that they only care about saying they did a job when they really didnt.

Around the end of Dec. I contacted Cantrell for a diagnostic after noticing water on the floor where the hot water heater is located (they did the replacement I recalled the diagnostic trip charge was about $80).The tech stated he was in the immediate vicinity.Upon his arrival the first thing that struck me as unprofessional was that he glanced at my shoes on the landing,my bare feet, and continued up the white stairs and across my hard wood floors in his muddy boots. He turned off the main water, placed his finger in the drip pan and stated it couldnt be the water heater because the water in the pan was cold. He asked me to plug the kitchen sink, fill it with water, and then unplug. We were about 5 feet from each other and when I unplugged the sink I noticed the water begin to rise in a tube in the laundry room.He suggested I remove the water from the drip pan with a towel and bucket.I placed a liner in the trash and he removed the liner stating in a sarcastic tone "doesnt it make sense?" (to remove the liner). He wrapped up by stating it would cost $140 to snake (plus the trip charge fee), to call in the am, and left, all within 15 minutes tops.I resolved with drano. On 1/18 I received an invoice for $265.At 4:43pm I called the office and spoke with an Eleanor who stated "that cant be right....we charge $70 for the trip charge and $68/hr for services." She said the trip charge could "sometimes" double on weekends..understandable but still didnt add up($140, $208 tops). She asked for the initials on the description, I told her "TR", she responded "oh, the owner I will have to call you back on Monday." No return call but I received a duplicate bill with $265 highlighted in bold.I contacted several plumbers and their response was a $265 15 min diagnostic trip charge was far from standard, even excessive. Inconsistent pay practices? Beware

I feel the one star this company is receiving from me is much more than they deserve, but unfortunately this will not allow me to do 0 stars. I had a leak under my sink, it was not a terrible leak, which is good since it took them a week to send a technician out, but it was covered by my home warranty so I didnt have a choice but to wait. When the technician finally arrived, he "fixed" the problem under the sink and went on his way, but that evening when I went to run my dishwasher, it didnt drain. I assumed it was a problem with the dishwasher so I did some investigating only to find that when I disconnected the dishwasher drain hose that it drained with no problem, so clearly it was a problem with the drain pipe that the technician "fixed". I called the next business day and told them what was going on and they sent the same tech out again, who just said "it wasnt anything I did, your dishwasher is broken". Now I have to wait for the appliance repair person to come out and tell me there is nothing wrong with my dishwasher only to have to wait for the home warranty company to send out another plumber to fix the problem this moron caused to begin with. Oh did I mention I still have a leak under the sink

Since purchasing and restoring an 1890 Victorian home 25 years ago, we have worked with a variety of contractors on many home repair projects. Some of those experiences were good, a few were great and a few were disappointing. Our recent selection of Miller Ranney Cantrell Plumbing to repair a major sewer drain problem however was one of the best contractor experiences we have ever had. From our initial meeting with co-owner Mark Cantrell who clearly explained the proposal and steps needed to correct the problem to cleaning up the yard afterward, the entire project went smoothly and with almost no disruption to our family. Everyone on the crew was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, hard working, and clearly wanted to do the best job possible for us. Even with a large project involving five workers and a giant backhoe, when finished the cleanup was done so well it was hard to tell anyone had been here. Our experience with Miller Ranney Cantrell Plumbing was one of the best contractor decisions we have ever made. We will definitely use them again for any plumbing projects and will highly recommend them to friends and family.

I am very picky about what contractor I let work on my home. Unfortunately, most contractors can not perform their job to my expectations nor to my level of attention to detail. I am HAPPY to say that Miller-Ranney Cantrell did a WONDERFUL job replacing my water service line. I obtained three quotes from licensed plumbing professionals. Miller-Ranney Cantrells price was very fair and the work performed was flawless. Everyone I spoke to at this company was friendly and knowledgable. The receptionist/scheduler that I spoke to on the phone was great. Tom Ranney was able to come to my home and give me an estimate within a few hours of me calling and was very knowledgeable and friendly. The crew that arrived to perform the work was very hard working, considerate of my home and property, knowledgeable, and friendly. Their level of attention to detail was impeccable! Keep up the great work!
