WARNING: This review is by an ACTUAL customer... Ive only once before in my life ever asked a stylist to fix a haircut. Even though this initial cut at Glitz didnt look at all right and definitely not what I asked for, Im regretting going back for her to attempt to correct this...ending up with BY FAR the very worst haircut Ive ever had in my life! The "fix-it" consisted of gathering all the hair from the top of my head along with all my hair about two inches above my ear...all gathered above my head and cut 3 inches above my scalp. After that was all chopped off, she commented that shed "blend" in the rest, but mostly concentrated on styling my hair in a manner that Id never do for everyday. I left the salon in pain, thinking about all that I still needed to do that afternoon, with a style completely different than what I continually stated exactly what I do to my hair. When I happened to look into a mirror an hour later, after the style had relaxed, I was horrified to realize how badly my hair looked. When I went home that evening, my daughter & husband immediately looked at me speechless for a few seconds and then said OMG!...my daughter immediately went to the top of my hair and gasped, and said "its just chopped off in a huge chunk, like some type of high mullett!!!" Its like half my hair sits in one layer at the top of my head & the rest of my hair hangs down...so thin & little hair left that Im PETRIFIED at the prospect of trying to now find the right person to fix my hair! I just cant stop crying.

I went to Glitz in Rochester and showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. She had it in her hair that I wanted to go lighter with my hair cause I had a lot of blond in my hair already, but I mentioned going darker because I wanted it to be healthier, and the picture was clearly darker than what I had. When she was finished she asked me if I liked it, and I told her it was a bit too light, so she rushed me out of her chair because her next client was waiting. She tried to fix it the next day, and it looked brown and grey. She charged me $259 for hair that I have been in tears about for three weeks. My cut is even worse. My hair is fried and looks and feels like crap. I cant pull it in a ponytail because it is too short. Theres nothing worse than bad hair.

I came to see Nicole at Glitz for the first time a couple weeks ago with accidentally blue hair. She was able to get rid of all of the blue and even tone down the leftover yellow. It looked so much better. I came back a week later and she colored it properly and cut and styled it. I dont remember the last time my hair turned out this perfect. Every one else was super friendly and helpful too. They kept coming by to see what Nicole was doing and offer helpful tips. Great place.

I have been going to Stacey for almost four years now. As someone who has always had problems with her hair, Stacey is the first person I have ever found who has made me like my hair. She is the best! She always takes her time to listen to her clients and makes sure she gives them what they want. She goes up and beyond for her clients, and I would recommend her to anyone! I used to dread going and getting my hair done, but now because of Stacey, I always enjoy it!

Glitz Rochester - Sat 10/16/2010 Brought my 2 sons 7 and 5 for haircut. It is the worst cut I have ever seen. To top it off they charged us $27, per cut for kids. My son is so scared by this cut not sure how to make him comfortable again. I will have to wait to take him somewhere else and get it fixed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is all uneven, I even had her try and fix it a bit. I left very very disappointed!!!!

I dont know who the other posters went to, but Lianne is fantastic. I had really long hair and wanted to go shorter so she took off a good 6 inches and the cut is great! It looks cute up, curled, straight, everything. She also cuts my boyfriends hair and doesnt use trimmers - it turns out much nicer than his cuts from Lady Janes ever were. :P She also teaches for Glitz and is one of their top stylists. I highly recommend her!

My experience was horrible. I have bleach blonde hair and by the time I left I had a violet hairline and ashy grey, blond hair which is much darker than what I walked in with. My stylists name was Stephanie and I told her several times that my hair must remain a bright, white blonde. A good stylist will deliver what the client asks for but she instead did what she thought would look good.

I love this salon! So nice inside and great location. I have been to Lisa Demeulemeester a couple times now and I am always beyond happy with the end results. I have gone from brunette to blonde and she has made my hair look amazing. Lisa is super friendly, modern and exactly what i was looking for!! I would recommend her to anyone hands down.

The stylist was very nice. I am satisfied with prices and her job. However, the front desk had a negative attitude, and maid me feel unwelcome. The front desk lady was arrogant. I am not going back and would not recommend the place for my friends. In addition, If you are going, make sure to have cash for gratitude.

I had my bridal hair trial with Amanda B and was blown away! She listened to what I wanted and made sure it was perfect and I was fully satisfied! I loved my hair and cant wait to have her do my hair along with my bridal party for my wedding! I highly suggest going to Glitz salon and asking for Amanda.

I agree with the lady below me. Every time I have been, I come out happy! Jessica does my hair, and she is AWESOME. Its like she can read my mind on exactly how I want it. The salon is on the higher end for prices, but you get what you pay for with high end salons. Very happy with the services there.

Stacey is the best stylist there, she never disappoints. Shes been doing my hair for 18 years and Im always in love with my hair. Shes very easy to talk to and makes the overall experience a great one. My hair always turns out how I want it to. Definitely the best stylist Ive ever been too :)

Stacey has been doing my hair for amost 7 years and Im always happy with what she does! I always get a ton of compliments on my color and her haircuts make my fine hair look thicker. She is always friendly and does exactly what I want. I would highly reccomend her.
