U-Store-It has an extremely aggressive pricing policy--I began renting a 5 x 15 climate controlled space in July of 2008-- initial monthly fee was $67--one year later, in the midst of a severe recession, they raised it to $72--a 7% raise, during a year when the Consumer Price Index declined by .2%--then in 2009, while the economy was still in shambles, they raised it to $78--an 8.5% raise. Despite these aggressive pricing changes, no additional services were provided. I called the national headquarters in an attempt to find out how they justified these outrageous increases--found out that pricing policy is handled at the top levels of management--when I asked to speak to a person involved with those decisions, they stonewalled me--said that I should contact the district manager who oversees the location where I rented--that, of course, went nowhere. My suggestion is to look elsewhere--get a multi-year deal where they guarantee IN WRITING that the price will remain the same during that period--and AVOID THE VULTURES AT U-STORE-IT.

When I first got my storage unit, it was called Storage Pro, and were pretty good place. I paid usually 6 months in advance. Then Corporate took over as SmartCube. The name is more ironic than anything. As "corporate" the original staff got rude, exacting, and closed PROMPTLY! When called "corporate" to get a little assistance from staff close to closing, staff waited out the timeclock and I watched them zoom out the gate without ever acknowledging my call (and never followed up afterward). They were also prompt to call a week before rent due (for us "deadbeat" renters who previously pre-paid 6 months in advance). Its like the auto insurance commercial, being a good customer gets you nothing. Horrible attitude now, and I would only send a mean enemy there now, if I ever recommended them. AYOR!!

I have been a customer since 2012 when I moved out of state. I still have a unit there in 2017 and the staff is wonderful. I had always dealt with Natheen, she was such a sweat and wonderful lady, excellent manager she will be truly missed. I keep this storage just in case I have to move back home or my family may need some things, its available to them. The new staff they currently have is very polite and compassionate and professional. Im always late because Im just always late no other reason I can think of, but they stay professional always a call to inform me that Im late never any attitude on the other end. Customer service is excellent, as you can tell 5 yrs in.

Storage Pros is a great place to store unused items until needed. They are fairly priced in comparison to other storage units. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The units are cared for and kept clean until rented. The staff at Storage Pros makes it very easy to rent and make all the details clear and easy to understand. Trucks are available for free when moving in. Check out Storage Pros in Romulus on Ecorse Rd. You will be very happy that you did.

I thoroughly enjoy using this location on Ecorse Road. My needs have been met, even when switching between different size storage units. The staff here are fantastic to work with. The manager is especially nice, and witty, and a great pleasure to chat with. I have used several storage locations across a few states, and this one ranks right up at the top of my personal favorites.

Personally I hate CubeSmart... But the location is convenient for me. They dont try to work with you on anything. All about that $$$$ the manager Krissi is super nice tho and very helpful
