Moved in a about year ago. The staff at that time were very nice and rent cheap but outside a mess like what the other reviewers stated. Well, ever since the upgrades, the rent increased very much but was told only would increase a little. The lot not totally paved as of yet. Forgot to mention in the beginning was in a 10x30 but was condemned by Shelby Township so I had to move my suff again a month later. The staff offered a mover but did it myself so I saved them money in the long run. The old storages are dry wall with cracks and holes as well as cement floor. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend this storage site to anybody because check around. The other competitors offer 24 hours access with lights in some of the storages, bathrooms too, and storages with outlets. Would rather pay what the bigger chains want than this one. Keep in mind, like Brian said before, you want cheap, move more North and go with small mom and pop chains because their rent hardly increases. Think twice before moving in here. New staff not so friendly!! I wonder how many renters are still renting here that left good reviews?? Not much I think since I heard with recent increase of rent most upset and have moved out. Maybe the positive reviewers still here are the ones with the abandoned cars. Did I mention that too.....

After Kim returned my call and we discussed the issues with Shelby Spare Room I have decided to give them another chance. She has moved my location to the front of the property. She tells me that she had no idea about the problems with the vandalism and theft that has happened in the past. If no one tells her whats going on than she doesnt know. They have started replacing lot signs and some wood and fence poles. It does look like they are trying to clean it up and make it nicer and more secure. We will see. I will give them 2 or 3 months to prove it.

It was easy to put a unit on hold online. They answered all my questions and were very helpful on the phone. Easy process and good to work with. The only issue was that the back part where the units are is not paved. Made it difficult to get back there with a big box truck and could not unload easily with lift-gate on truck. Wouldve been nice to know that it was not paved. She did say it would be paved in 2 weeks, so then it should be better. Also, front gate was broken at the time I signed up for unit. Said that would be fixed too.

I purchased a 3 month Special for 2 big 20x10 units so my company could store some our garage door inventory. I was really happy with the price. Dymie & Bryan helped me over the phone and at the counter when I got there. They were very nice and answered all my questions. Units were clean and nice. The prices are great and very competitive. The owner has done some very nice upgrades and renovations to the storage units and grounds. The management company is very useful, friendly, and knowledgable. The only criticism I have is that sometimes the owner and the management team dont always communicate well.

The staff was friendly, made booking a unit easy, and answered the phone every time Ive called. The responsiveness and availability were very good compared to other storage facilities in the area. Theyre in the middle of some construction, but the upgrades will be nice when completed.

We just signed up and havent parked the camper there yet but so far we are extremely pleased with the customer service and price (received first month free for August promo-cant beat free:). Once the renovations are complete it looks like it will be a very nice storage property.

Like using national storage center. It is close by, easy to get in and out. Management let me know that newer units that are smaller will be available in August, so I could downsize if I wanted. Like the fact that I get a discount by paying in advance.
