Do not use this company. They charge 3X what others charge, completely take advantage of customers that dont know/are new to plumbing issues, and the customer service is HORRIBLE. Please read full experience below: I called on a Friday due to a very minor amount of water I noticed at the base of the toilet. So minor that I really wouldnt have addressed it, but I happened to be home that day. Let me also say, that I am a new homeowner and this was my first plumbing "issue", so I am ignorant in terms of what is an appropriate charge for certain services. The technician came out to my house and was in and out in 45 minutes. He was very nice, friendly, professional, etc. At the end of the service visit, he charged me $350. I paid, because to my knowledge, thats just what it costs. The technician had me put my email address in their ipad to send me my receipt/invoice immediately. I spoke to the person that referred me to the company and they said that sounds insanely high. I called 4 other companies and they all said I should have paid between $125 - $150 maximum. This is when the completely lack of customer service came in. I called Saturday (the next day) 4 times and no one answered. I left a voicemail and never got a call back. I called Sunday and finally got someone on the phone, explaining that I would like to speak with someone regarding the excessively high cost I was charged for a brief visit and that I did not receive a call back. The person told me they were sorry and were emailing my receipt as we were on the phone and that the OWNER Jim Levine would call me back tomorrow (Monday). Well, they never emailed me my receipt on Sunday, and I never received a call from ANYONE on Monday. Today (Monday) I called and explained the progressively worsening situation for the 2nd time to Jennifer who assured me she would get the situation handled and I would be a satisfied customer. I called back and finally spoke to Jim Levine who could not have been more unprofessional. When he answered the phone, he immediately answered by saying "yeah...this is Jim" and showing no sympathy regarding the situation. I even had to ask if the employee Jennifer had explained my situation because he sounded like he could care less. When I explained the situation AGAIN, I explained I have never written a negative review about a company and do not expect them to refund $350, but that given my exceptionally poor experience and feeling completely disheartened like I was taken advantage of, I am willing to pay the max $150 that other companies would charge. Jim repeated 5 times how they charge a premium due to their excellent customer service and the fact that they pay their employees benefits. I explained that is great and I am sure he didnt come to grow a business based on people having the experience I have had, and that it is great that he provides benefits for his employees. However, he kept repeating these things, never addressing my concerns AT ALL. He then said he would cover HALF of the service visit which meant he would refund me $34. I explained that it was very apparent that he could care less about customer service, if he cannot justify a $200 refund. I said if that is the way he feels, he should keep the $200 if that is more valuable than the value they place on a customers experience when they repeatedly drop the ball. He said, "Alrighty" and HUNG UP ON ME!!! Please keep in mind, I have never written a bad review and I never raised my voice in the conversation. Steer clear of this company.

BAD! Boiler heat went off, we had a plumber working on the house who looked at our boiler furnace, couldnt figure out problem, referred L & Sons and figured plumber would have checked basics: gas turned on, boiler turned on, check thermal coupler (which Ive had much experience on changing myself and is normally < 30 min job and < $5 item from local hardware store). No luck finding out problem so we call L & Sons based on Plumber referral. Their Technician, Michael Adorjan (rating 5.0/5) showed up at little past 9AM. After taking exorbitant amount of time to get stuff from truck and into house, Micheal found out the following in this order: A. Gas turned on, B. furnace turned OFF, C. "Thermal Coupler "bad". 1 hr in to determine this!!! Recall, Ive changed thermal coupler in < 30 min. The Plumber referral is hugely in question now, as the plumber had to be the one to turn off boiler. Micheal took almost an additional hour to change out "bad" thermal coupler and present me with almost $250 bill!!! I was told (we never received an invoice or anything in writing to show how the $250 was broke out) Service Call fee, 2 hours for his time / labor and part. At worst I was expecting nothing more than $150, hoping less than $100. But the Technician (slow as a slug) billed us for full BS 2 hours and would not even begin to negotiate the bill. "sorry you feel that way" was his mantra. If you go to this establishment expect to pay through your nose for very slow run of mill service. Well never use this place again. PS: supposedly the Plumber spoke to proprietor of the place but we never heard back, or any explanation why 2 hours for 30 min fix. Best you move on down the street for better service and cost to avoid the aggravation we went through.

I agree with several of the reviews here. POOR SERVICE and HIGH COST. I definitely feel taken advantage of. They have completed work for my family home in the past, and the service was ok (not great but tolerable). Today our sump pump stopped working and whole basement flooded. The service rep "ROBERT" was disrespectful and condescending. He acted like he did not want to be thee and got aggressive talking over us several time. Told us he did not even want to be here and every time he spoke to us he was very rude and arrogant. He said that some work had to be done outside and if we did not get it THROUGH THEM there would be no warranty, when i read the document it said if the recommended work was not completed the warranty could be void. After my experience today I will NOT be using them in the future.

This was an awful experience. First, they called less than an hour to cancel my appointment, because the technician was late to work. It was rescheduled for a Monday at noon. They called me at 8 to ask if it could be done from 9-11, to which I said I didnt know, and wouldnt for an hour. I called back at 930, and they said they would keep it at noon. Then they called me 4X while I was on a business call! On the 4th time, I answered, and they wanted to move it back to 1030! Oh, by the way, when I asked for an estimate for the job, it was anywhere from $95-110. When they wanted to get a cc from me, it was $170! They wanted an extra $65+ just to come out! I would NEVER call them again!
