The issues with the leaks in our pipes have been an ongoing issue for over a year now. As soon as one leak was found and fixed, there always seemed to be another one located shortly afterwards. When Mike came over and looked at the entire system again, the consensus was that a complete overhaul was desperately needed. Our condo is attached to two others on each side and one above us, so that made it even more complicated to re-plumb our place. However, Mike made a point to find, not just to find the best route to re-plumb the condo, but to do it in such a way that we were not inconvenienced from our daily living and activities. The work was quite complicated and long, but Mike didnt stop working each day until he could get to a point where we would be able to have use of the water until he returned the next morning. The first night he was there until after 9:00 pm, and the second night he was there until 7:00 pm, and the work was finished. I was shocked that he was able to get all of that work done in just two days, and without much inconvenience to our family. He is a nice, honest guy and John and I feel as if we made a great friend, as well as finding a trustworthy plumber.

I scheduled an AM appointment (specific times are not an option) for Tuesday, March 28th. Since I had an AM appointment, I decided to just stay home since I was told I would be the first appointment of the day. At 10:52am I got a call saying my technician was having car trouble, but that he would be on the way. That is nearly 3 hours into the AM window! How am I the first appointment, but 3 hours have passed and this is when I was contacted about this? I let that slide, since AM would technically be anything before noon. At 12:00 I decided that I had been held up in my home long enough. I gave the office a call at 12:03 to cancel my appointment. No one was there to answer the phone. At 12:25 I got a call from the technician letting me know he was ON his way. I informed him that I had an AM appointment. He nonchalantly asked if I was canceling my appointment. I told him that I was not necessarily canceling it, but that he was a NO SHOW on an AM window. The website says you get $5 for every minute that they are late. I will see if I get a check for $125 or more if I could have held out any longer! However, something tells me that that check would probably not show up at all!

After visiting the BIG BOX stores looking for water heaters and finding they were doing nothing more than sending a local plumber to my home to install their product, we dug deeper. Our plan was to call a couple of companies and take the lowest bid etc. Our first call was to Benjamin Franklin. Mike Buckley one of their plumbing experts came for the appraisal. Mike was very thorough as to explaining what would be required and additional options to upgrade our hot water system. After the explanation we agreed to the Ben Franklin quotation without further research. Mike showed up as promised two days later. The job was a challenge replacing two hot water tanks....in the attic...with outside temperatures near 95 degrees. But stayed the course! We also purchased a water treatment system. I guess its a bit too early to determine all of the improvements but the taste of tap water has improved...and chemical quality has improved to "Bottled Water" levels. I cant speak for all of the Benjamin Franklin plumbers but I cant say enough about the professionalism and courtesy exhibited by Mike Buckley. I have a couple of other small plumbing jobs and I now know who to call.

These people are more crooked than a dogs hind leg. I had someone come out Tuesday, 2/10/15, to give me an estimate on water heater replacement, and I paid $59 for the estimate. He totally tried to upsell me by telling me that I would need things I did not need, per the reputable plumber who actually did the work today. The water heater is in the attic, and it sits on a piece of thick plywood. KK at Benjamin Franklin (aka 3-Way Plumbing) told me the plywood would need to be replaced, as well as the attic insulation, beams in the attic, and even the hardwood flooring on the ground floor below. He quoted me $1241 as the best he could do, and that was only if I provided the water heater and materials, at least another $500. and that was without all the other unnecessary work he "recommended!" I had the work done today, and no, I did not need to replace anything but the water heater and necessary hardware, so the total was just over $1,000. Women, especially, do not even bother with these misogynistic jerks, who want to believe you are an idiot because you are female.

I just wanted to send a note to tell you how AWESOME this company is. First, you guys totally saved the day when I needed a service call. The tech that came out to my house was great, efficient and explained everything to me very well. He explained the Club Membership program to me and I decided to enroll. I literally just got off the phone at 11:05pm to schedule my annual system flush/maintenance. How cool is it that I can truly call and speak with a live person this time of night?! Way Cool. Then, I just talked to the friendliest guy ever. His name is Tavares (my apologies if I spelled it wrong). He was so nice and helpful that I couldnt help but to smile the entire time. To receive that level of service this time of night is truly amazing. I am very thankful that I called you guys in my time of need and I will happily tell anyone that asks to call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Kudos for a job well done.

Jeff provided unbelievable customer service! Initially of course we were not sure of the cause of the water leak but rather than tearing out sections of a wall he looked for the simpler fix first. Normally when I have an issue it isnt simple but this time it was. He also explained the maintenance program which is exactly what I was looking for since I know my homeowners policy will not cover the actually plumbing repairs. While Jeff was here he also verified the water pressure was accurate without my asking him too. Taking that little extra step like that makes all the difference to a customer. Unfortunately today customer service is a thing of the past for most companies so when I have an experience like this I think the person should be recognized and let it be known that because of him I will be a repeat customer (and I have already told friends and neighbors about this positive experience!)

BUYERS BEWARE. I called Benjamin Franklin to replace my Water Heater and Sump Pump. What a fool I was. Their quote was for $2,711. I told them I had to get a second opinion and they charged me $49 for the service call. I got the work done with another plumnber with comparable equipment for $1,300. After such a disparity between the Ben Franklin Quote and my actual installation, I asked for my $49 back. I didnt really expect them to give me my $49 back and of course they did not. I spoke cordially with the General Manager who made it clear he would not refund me. It was obvious he could care less about customer service and would rather have his plumbers charge an arm and leg to some sucker than keep an honest customer happy. They are all about MONEY and nothing else. Stay away from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. BUYERS BEWARE
