I would give Gill Plumbing 10 stars if I could. I have been using Jim for years and years and would never use anyone else. Him and his staff always do an outstanding job. They clean up after themselves. Today, I had a new furnace and air conditioning unit installed and you cant even tell anyone was in the house it was so clean when they left. I dont understand why people complain about prices. They have to make a living. As far as prices go, check out other plumbing companies and see what they charge. I trust Jim and his employees so much that I would leave a key to the house if I couldnt be there. Also, he guarantees all the work he does. Even if he raises his prices I would still use him. I would never call anyone else to do any work for me. Jim is as honest as the day is long. I would like to add that my niece who lives in a tri-level house on Grosse Ile had a problem with water in her laundry room when ever it rained. She called a plumber and he said it would take 3 guys to TRY and fix this problem at a rediculous hourly rate and couldnt guarantee this would solve the problem. I happen to run into Jim in the parking lot at PNC bank and told him about this and he knew exactly what had to be done. My niece had him do the job and needless to say, my niece has not had one drop of water in her laundry room. Also keep in mind that when they schedule your job they might run into a problem with the appointment before yours which would run into being late for your appointment. I cant say enough good things about Jim and his staff. Thanks for a job well done.

I called this company to come to my house, my air conditioner was not working. Someone did come out, for a $90 house call. Looked at my air conditioner, said some part was bad, replaced the part and charged me $70 for it. THEN said the air conditioner still wouldnt work, and that I needed a new one. I paid him and told him to leave. I called Familys heating and cooling out, they looked at my air conditioner, fixed it, AND only charged me $90 for the visit and fixing it! I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to go to Gills.

Life savers!!!! The clay pipe in my basement that carries out all the sewage water (toilet, shower, sink) from my house had a crack in it. The pipe had also collapsed underground on the outside of the house. When the toilet was flushed the water poured into my basement. Not pretty!!! The owner himself came to my house, dug the pipe out, removed the entire cracked pipe in my basement & replaced it all himself with his helper. What a nasty job but they did it without complaint. Life savers indeed...thank you!!!

Im writing this review to help others figure out whether they should request the services of Gill Plumbing & Heating Co. I was charged $290 to change 1 simple faucet and add 2 shutoff valves. All together was 15 minutes of work. The person entered my house without shoe covers on his filthy and disgusting plumber shoes. If you want over-priced and unprofessional service, then the clowns at Gill Plumbing & Heating Co should be right up your alley.

I have used Gill for years. I have never had a problem. I have had a furnace installed, air conditioning repaired, gas line repair and numerous plumbing jobs. There was only 1 occasion where a plumbing repair wasnt fixed right the 1st time. The owner himself then came out. They are and will remain my number one pick for honesty & workmanship! Sue T

Ive used Gill for years and have always been pleased with their work. Ive had them snake my main drain line in the basement when it backed up, install a new furnace and AC, and a new hot water heater. They were reasonably priced, quick, and did the best quality work you could ask for. I trust their expertise and wont call anyone else.

Contacted this place yesterday to set an appointment. Waited and waited today and had to call another plumber because we couldnt wait anymore. When we told them we had to cancel, man was very rude and yelled at me and told me not to call them again! Will never use this place again.

I woke up one morning to a leaking water heater and called Gill Plumbing & Heating for a replacement. I received same-day service, great workmanship, and a fair price. They cleaned up after themselves and were nice and polite. I would certainly hire them again.

Would not be calling them back I was told when I called in the morning that they would be there that afternoon and it should be no more than $136.00 at the most they got there late that night and it costs me $ 350.00 just to unclog a drain REALLY
