Ok I felt I needed to comment here. I may get a little long winded but please bear with me. I have been a tennant of the Waterford facility for a year and a half now. I had beed a tennant years ago when it was under a different company, and left because of the deplorable conditions. When I needed to once again use a storage facility, several of my friends told me to go back to the Waterford location that it wasnt anything like I had left. Well Sceptically I returned and checked out the place. I was pleasantly surprised. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Constantly when I go there I see their staff out cleaning up trash, pulling weeds, and sweeping. I was impressed. The next item that I was pleased to see is the security. They have many cameras around the property with large monitors in the office to monitor the site. Also as a nice plus there is a manager who lives on the property to make sure it is safe. In the past several months I have also noticed that throughout the day they physically walk through and check units to make sure they are locked and secure. With this I looked at the rates which I found were good and rented a unit. Which later turned into three. Well during the last year and a half I have found one other plus to the facility and that is the staff. When I go in to pay rent or I have a question they are there with a personable demeneur and an energetic presence that brightens your day. They dont treat you like tennant #2376584, Your George Smith from Pontiac in unit #245 who drives a blue van and works at Wal-mart. They go so far out of their way to be helpful and personable. I have seen the manager Nicole, take time to work with several people to work out just what their needs are and make sure they dont get something they dont want. I have seen times where this woman has surpassed what you could believe to make sure the facility and your time there is as good as it can be. To sum up, I dont think I could possibly feel stronger or reccomend more wholeheartedly a place to store belongings than The Waterford facility,and the awesome staff there. And as a post script, I have never had the need to rent a truck, but if such a need ever arises you can believe I am going to be using their Uhauls.

I really enjoy the staff that works on site. They are extremely professional and attentive and do their best to supply a high level of service. The facility itself it OK but it is older and there is no getting away from that. Again I think the staff does a great job in presenting the property as a good storage facility. My main and biggest complaint is this, and it is serious, and in my mind a somewhat ethics issue. In the first year, our rents were raised twice!? I could not believe it. It wasnt very much money but one of the major reasons to renting there is/was price. I have had trailers, vehicles, and closed storage at other places, I never had my rent raised twice in the first year. We are leaving there as soon as the occasion permits.

PLEASE DONOT GO THERE AND STORE YOUR ITEMS. They are infested with rats, and now I have to process a claim just to get my refund or some type of reimbursement. There is no reason for this to happen to anyone, and they keep going up on the storage fee just about every month!!! I will be taking all action against them, and I also have the pictures to prove it. So unless you want rat droppings on your property I advised everyone not to go there.

This was my Experience at compass self storage in Waterford, Michigan: Exceptional Service from beginning to end!!! Nicole was professional, very welcoming and went out of her way, literally, to accommodate my hectic work schedule and time constraints. She came in early, twice to extend my u haul rental!!!! Everyone in this office went above and beyond....Great place to rent anything. I would highly recommend. Thanks Compass Storage!!

Came here to rent a U-haul for a very spur of the moment move, never rented one before, had no idea what I was doing and was very frazzled. The Manager there, I think her name was Jesse, was absolutely wonderful! She thoroughly explained everything and made everything really simple for me. She was incredibly friendly and down to earth. Ive already recommended her to several people for storage needs! Keep up the good work Jesse!

I have been storing at Compass for the past 2 months and I couldnt be happier with the service and Its nice knowing how much my business is valued. The employees do such a good job of making you feel welcome and they are great at helping to answer questions. Compass deffinetly stands out from the competion and trust me I checked them out before coming here and I know I made the right choice.

Absolutely perfect. Greatest customer service. We waited last minute to get our unit and did not have a lot of time. I was in a hurry, and my kids were not the best behaved that they could be. Ash was super thorough, friendly, and very funny/happy/nice/patient with my kids. I am happy we chose this place over others.
