I was minimally impressed when this place was Perimeter Self Storage. The price was decent, and really how much customer service can you expect from a storage facility. However since becoming Southern Self Storage the prices have steadily been increasing, and the staff is becoming more and more difficult to work with. At the time of my cancellation I was paying nearly $60 for space the size of a small bathroom. Not worth it. Even cancellation was a hassle as I live an hour away and was told that I couldnt mail the keys in and have them remove the lock from the empty unit. A lock that they issued in the first place

Too corporate. Called to reserve a unit and after listening to the lengthy phone options, I finally spoke with a national sales associate who needed more caffeine. Her rigid communication protocol required that she verify where it was that I called. Ha! I know where I was calling; she really needed to verify for herself. After more questions, she finally told me that she not only did not have the unit size I needed but she didnt have ANY units whatsoever. So, thank you Southern Self-Storage for wasting my time. Im reviewing you so that others may save their time.

Greg, the property manager, saw my frustration of driving around all over Valdosta and calling multiple storage companies for a unit. He took all my information and gave me all the details and a quick break down on pricing and leasing rules. No sooner had I left that Greg called with awesome news-I got a unit! He waited for me last minute to come and sign for it. Greg was exceptionally accommodating! I will definitely recommend for anyone looking for a clean, safe, secure place to store you belongings. We have been with Southern Self Storage and its predecessor for about 16 years. This has always been a good facility however since becoming Southern Self Storage it has become a great facility. It is always clean, the grounds are well landscaped and manicured and the office personnel are very knowledgeable and efficient. I have recommended this facility to several friends and will continue to do so.

My experience with Perimeter Self Storage in Valdosta couldnt have been better. I have to say that from the minute I walked in the door, Jo handled my storage needs with great care and ease. I was assigned a code and the brand new security and camera system gave me peace of mind. I will defintely use Perimeter Self Storage again.

Wow! Our experience with Jo at Perimeter Self Storage was G-R-E-A-T! Due to a series of foreseen events, we were in a real bind for a storage room at the absolute last minute. Due to Jos excellent customer service, we were able to work things out to get our things stored. The facility is convenient and secure. We recommend.

I just PCSd here and everyone gives a military discount for military for storage except for this place. They say they do but it is only for 6 months if you are deploying. Kind of misleading!! Plenty of other storage places here that give a military discount the whole time you rent with them not only if you are deploying!!!
