We recently got a new high efficiency furnace/ac unit (our AC was 20 years old, and the furnace was even older). We got multiple bids for the project, but decided to go with Pronto. Their salesman was informative without being too pushy or demanding, which I always appreciate. When wed had AC problems earlier in the summer they were prompt and courteous, so wed already had a good experience with them. They explained the choices they had in great detail to me, going over the pros and cons of each, what was right for my house, and what was right for the sort of value I wanted to get out of it. Price: Since this was the main negative review on here, I wanted to address it. Pronto was not the cheapest. However, they were pretty comparable to the other well-reviewed HVAC companies we looked at. I also want to note that Pronto has some great financing options and guarantees, such as the ability to get an exchange or refund within the first 2 years and a $500 a day guarantee that theyll get out there the same day if something goes wrong with it. The financing was what really sold it for me. Theyve currently got a 60 month, 0% financing. With the other options, including the cheaper ones, we would have had to go with financing options that were a similar length, but accrued interest. Ultimately, considering interest, wed end up paying the same even with a less expensive company because of APR. Because of that, we decided wed rather go with Pronto because we already had a high level of trust in them, and if the end price would be similar then there was no reason not to. The actual installers actually came the day after I said Id go with Pronto—even though both my AC and heater were fully functional and there was no need for them to have to go quickly. Their technicians, much like before, were very courteous and thoughtful. They walked through the area with me before they took out anything and explained what they planned to do. Then for most of the day (installation was 7am-2pm) they just did their thing. When they were done they cleaned up very well and then showed us what we needed to know about our new system. The only part they missed as far as cleaning was an area on the outside of the house where they had to drill through in order to put in a new pipe; they left debris on my landscaping rocks, but thats pretty minor. In the last week or so since installation our house has been more comfortable and the unit is much quieter than our old one, so very pleased thus far!

My furnace and AC were about 27 years old, so it was time to get them replaced. I got estimates from several places, and even though Pronto was not the lowest bid, I decided to go with them. Ultimately, it was the little things that helped me choose. Prontos salesman showed up exactly at the scheduled time and he provided me with the most detailed estimate that explained exactly what I would be getting and the exact work that would be done. Since some of the other companys that I received estimates from carried other brands, I did a ton of research and had lots of follow up questions to the salesmen over a two week time period. I was impressed that Pronto was always responsive in a timely matter. At times, I felt the Pronto salesman did get a little pushy and bashed his competition a little (which is a bit of a put-off), but overall was always polite and responsive and any negatives I experienced were very minor. When the installers came, they were prompt, polite, and worked very hard. It took maybe 3/4 of a day to have the systems installed, and I dont think I ever heard any small talk or idle chit-chat from the guys. Just hard work. I was pretty impressed. Now that Ive had the system installed for a few weeks, Ive had it going on some humid and hot 90+ degree days. Everything has been working great! I havent yet seen any utility bills to see what kind of operating savings Ill get, but considering my previous systems were so old and not efficient, Im confident Ill see those savings. Also, one final thing, Pronto filled out all the rebate forms for me and sent them to me to sign with pre-addressed and already stamped envelopes. All I had to do was fill in my utility company account numbers, sign the forms, and then throw them in the mail. Super easy! I would use Pronto again and recommend them.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any type of request for a bid on any project! I have been a hoeowner for over 25 years and have done multiple home improvement projects and dealt with multiple contractors and have NEVER dealt with such a horrible company! I would give them zero stars if I could. We asked for a bid ib a new furnace and air conditioning. The salesman said he was going out of town for a while and would get back to us with our bid upon his return. We never heard from him, so we called the company. Sure enough, he was back in town and returned our call about an hour later. We were pretty put off at that point, the idea ther he was back in town and did not call, and that we would have to initiate a follow up call, but my husband scheduled a time for him to call and email the bid and go over it on the phone. The scheduled time was from 2;00-4:00 PM. My husband set aside two hours of his day and waited for the call and bid. It never came. Finnaly around five the guy left amessage on my husbands cell phone with some excuse about why he blew us off AGAIN. We decided to move on with other bids at that point. About a week later, we recieved a direct mailing advetisment from this company! I was in total disbelief! We STILL had not recieved a bid from them. I called the company and asked to be removed from their mailing list. About ten minuets later I revieved a call from the salesman telling me that it was our fault that he never sent the bid because he had left my husband a message to call him. I was appauled!! We STIll have never revieved a bid from these guys! Dont waste your time. There are plenty of reliable contractors who will value your time and not blame the customer when they treat you like crap! Oh, and as of this posting I have still never recieved my bid!!

I had my boiler go out the same week we had a big cold snap here in Minneapolis, and my main level got down to 53 degrees inside the house! RECOMMENDED: I called Pronto based on a recommendation from other home owners in my neighborhood. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE: The phone operator was polite and helpful, and had a service technician sent to my house the same day- within 6 hours of when I called! ON TIME:The technician came to the house within the two-hour arrival window the operator gave me. RESPECTFUL: The technician wore protective booties even though my carpet is garbage, and was polite and respectful the whole time he was here. PROFESSIONAL: He assessed my entire system, from the thermostat down to the boiler, and pointed out a few things that werent the problem this time, but could cause a problem in the future. He found the problem, explained what it was (bad wiring) and fixed it right away. FAST: I had heat again within 20 minutes of the technician checking out my system! EASY: Payment was easily made on a tablet, using my credit card, right there in my living room. AFFORDABLE: There was a base-cost for the visit itself which was well within the range of estimations I had seen from other companies online. The cost of the repair reflected the amount of work the technician did- it was easy, so the cost was low. FOLLOW-UP: I immediately received a confirmation email for my payment, and a few days later received a follow-up email from Pronto assuring me that if I had any problems or questions about my service, to contact them right away. I had an emergency heating problem, and Pronto fixed it for me right away at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend their service.
