DO NOT PURCHASE MEMBERSHIPS FROM THIS LOCATION!!! I feel horrible writing a negative review. However, it is very apparent that their staff have a membership goal to meet, and customer service is secondary to hitting that goal. I have also been into several Massage Envy locations, and have never experienced anything close to this. Though there are numerous "fine print" details regarding their memberships, I would not have had a problem going to Golden Valley as their massage therapists and estheticians are great! However, after dealing with two different concerns regarding my membership, their center manager Annie and another associate have made me feel so uncomfortable that I will not go back to their location. Once you are a member spending $400 or more, in my experience, they could care less how you are treated. Make sure you are ok with the following: -There is an automatic renewal to memberships! If you want to cancel and do not let them know before it renews, you are locked into another 6 month or annual contract, no exceptions -If there are ANY issues that would make you want to cancel a membership, you are not able to until your contract is up (6-12 months). This includes poor customer service to their patrons at the front desk -If you miss a reservation due to work, children, or even a death in the family, that counts as your monthly visit. If you call and were unaware of this (fine print again), you are almost scolded by their staff Again, I feel awful writing this, but I am extremely turned off by how this location handles itself. All these stipulations are fine, but this staff has no problem with embarrassing and scolding their patrons in front of other people, either in the lobby or over the phone. LOOK INTO ANY OTHER LOCATION FOR PURCHASING MEMBERSHIPS!

Excellent service and friendly staff --- but PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING. Very deceiving corporation that sucks you into a 12 month membership you cannot cancel unless you move 25 miles away from the nearest location (which is impossible in the Twin Cities) or you have a written doctor note that you cannot physically receive massages due to a medical issue. I asked what the cancellation policy was upon signing up and they told me a "30-day written notice". I take 100% blame for not reading the fine print on the contract, but the words they use to "sell" you on the monthly membership sucks you into an agreement you may not realizing youre signing up for. If you are OKAY with pay $65 a month (after taxes) for 12 months with no way to cancel, I highly recommend the Golden Valley location, but please be aware of what youre signing up. They give you a wonderful first massage for $39 and once you are relaxed and happy, they work their magic. You cant even cancel if you arent happy with your massages so youre just basically throwing money away.

I went to purchase a gift card for my wife for mothers day. I hauled my 2 year old in with me while making this purchase. This location had a bunch of small ballons attached to gift cards to promote mothers day. My 2 year old naturally gravitated towards the ballons. I asked the worker if he could have one and even offered to buy the small balloon. Maybe she didnt think i was serious but i wasnt really given an answer. They could have handed the little kid a ballon. Instead they did nothing and could use some customer service training. If my 2 year old wasnt in total melt down mode i woukd have walked in and returned the $125 gift card.

Not happy! I bought my wife a gift card for a facial and massage. The cashier saw on her computer that my wife had been there once before and didnt say anything about the $30 fee that the were going to charge her for being a repeat customer on the day of her appointment. The cashier said as long as she scheduled both the facial and massage at the same time there would be no added fees. I paid for the card as a new customer so it should not matter who gets tour services. This is a sneaky little trick played on paying customers and bad business. Not a chance that I will recommend or have repeat business with Massage Envy.

Horrible Customer Service! Please do not solely focus on getting people to sign up for memberships. You have ruined what was supposed to be my hour a week to relax, with pushy sales tactics. You really need to re-evaluate your overall professionalism when checking out customers, as it is really unfortunate how you treat people after the massage therapists work so hard. I will not be going back, and will be telling others of my experience.

I have been a member at this location since 2013 and absolutely love the massages and facials! I am always greeted with a smile when I walk in from the receptionists to the therapists. I try to get in at least once a month for a massage and/or facial. Menuka is amazing, everyone always comments with how great my skin looks! I highly recommend this location!

The staff up front that do the scheduling are always pleasant and easy to deal with. I would recommend Massage Envy and the Golden Valley location in particular!

I have been going here for a few months and I LOVE it. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the staff is always upbeat greeting you with a smile. Also, if you need a deep tissue massage I highly suggest Shavonda!
