I find it hard to review any hair salon as a whole, because whether or not youll like your haircut really depends on the individual stylist. Anyways, the Mendota Heights location is clean and in a nice spot. I recently got a haircut here & LOVED it. My stylist (I think her name was Diane) listened to what I wanted and seemed glad that I brought in a picture to show her exactly how I wanted my hair to look. She took her time & did a really good job with my cut, it looks great. I usually put off getting my hair cut because Ive had bad experiences in the past (people rushing or not listening to what I want), but Im so glad I found a stylist that I like! Also, cant beat the low prices :)

Had been here before and the haircut was fine...just went in today for another and the lady absolutely failed to listen to what I asked her to do. Im a guy and my hair is barely over an inch long; Id always made the comment "youd literally have to try to mess up a haircut with hair this short." Well today, I was shown that it is possible. Quite possible. I was the only person in the store and the lady was frantically cutting my hair and making comments about how fast she could go. I dont want her to go fast, because look what happens when you do! Icing on the cake was that she laughed about "butchering" my hair (as she put it). Somehow I doubt theyll see me again...

Love this place it was great! I went in on a Wednesday at 6:00p.m. The were a few people in front of me. To be honest I waited a while, but I want cut, color so I had to wait for a stylist that could do that. Because I wait a while the man at the front desk who I later found out to be the owner (Dean) of the establishment gave me three dollars of for my next visit. He was extremely apologitic about the long wait too! They started my hair at 7:30 P.M. I had a stylist named Amanda . B She was great she didnt make me feel rushed, and she was really great considering we were there till 10:30P.M.! Not only was she kind she did amazing job! My cut and color looked fantastic

Expect to wait for service 1-2 hours any day or time. They definitely need more stylists. However the stylists usually all do a good job. It is quite difficult to get in and you can tell there is frustration in the waiting room usually. I try to go elsewhere but it is so close to home every once in a while I go back like today and am waiting again 45 minutes with a couple people ahead of me and I got here at 3:25 which you wouldnt think would be a busy time.

I dont usually write reviews, but I have to write this one. I recently moved to the area & desperately needed a color & hair cut. So I looked up what was close by & went here. I had so much fun - the staff was friendly & seemed to enjoy working here. Sandy did a fantastic job on my hair - and I am gauging that not by MY personal opinion, but by the comments here at work, EVERYONE here at work LOVES the color & hairstyle she gave me. Yes I love it too.

The hair cut was good, however as we were leaving, the lady that cut my hair took the comb and scraped the bottom of her shoe with it. I felt discussed as I do not know why would somebody do something like that. I believe she thought it was acceptable to clean the sole of her shoe with the utensil they use to cut hair. Very disappointed.

I am in MN visiting my husbands relatives. My hair had really grown and I needed a haircut desperately. My first time at Fantastic Sams and it was wonderful. Tina did a super job at cutting and shaping my short hair. I loved the cut and the prices were very good, also. I will certainly will return when I am in the area.

I love coming here all the stylists are super friendly! They are familiar with all styles and will work with you if you want something different. This is my favorite salon with out the Salon price. Plus they have this rewards program after so many you get a free cut. I jus got my free one today what a bonus!

I have been there 2 times - very friendly at the front desk. I felt the color and highlights turned out well. I prefer this location over another that is closer to my house - worth the few extra miles! Heading there again today.

Stylist kept telling my 2 year old son was naughty. He is a pain sometimes as hes still a baby, but he hears it enough from mommy and daddy. He doesnt need to hear it from some random hair stylist
