Ive read through all of the feedback provided here and it sounds more like people have an issue because they "dont want to be talked to" or dont really know what theyre looking for. This is a TRENDY place, they take your current look and what youre going after and try to tailor it to you! If youre old-school on your hairstyle, dont bother going. Not everybody is going to look like a celebrity even with the best stylists, and excuse them for talking to you... its their job- if you dont like friendly people or people who are interested in what youre doing, stay at home. Ive had nothing but great cuts, just take your time explaining exactly what youre looking for. Dont leave it to them to make assumptions. Also- you can request more experienced stylists when you call, its called being proactive. Oh, and about the facilities... its a TRAINING SALON. Just like your cubicle when you started in the corporate world. You have to earn your way into the corner office with windows. The prices and service more than make up for the lack of decor.

I would highly discourage any black woman from patronizing this specific location--unless you want to be treated like a zoo animal! From the moment I went in, I was met with blank stares. The entire cut/dye/washing/styling process was awkward as my stylist made more conversation with other patrons and stylists than myself, but not too bad. It wasnt until my stylist "played" around with my afro and asked humiliating questions like "do you just, like, sit around and play with your poofball all day?" I even caught a lead stylist advising my stylist to "just cut her hair like a hedge" and watched them giggle....as if there isnt the biggest mirror right in front of me. This is the mirror I also watched other bored hair stylist gather around and watch me and make sly comments like I was their entertainment for the day. This was my second visit ever. The first time I went was amazing, and I had a wonderful black stylist who didnt put me through any of that humiliation. I guess I was just expecting to see her again.

The first time I went, my haircut turned out well, but the three times since then have not been good. I kept trying to explain what I didnt like, but I dont feel like I was listened to. The past few times theyve done my loose perm, it has only held for 3-4 months and hasnt looked great during that time. I even called up my old salon in another state where the perm always worked to get the details of how they did things. I then gave separate hair stylists the info they had told me and both times they disagreed and said they wanted to do it a different way. As a result, both times didnt work. I just went to a new salon today and they agreed that the best way to do it was how it was done in my previous state, so far, no problems. This place is cheap and will give you a hair cut, but it may not be great - it just depends on the day...

I had a horrible experience! I went to get my hair dyed frown red and left with orange red hair. Alli the chem tech hardly talked to me. She acted like she had never lifted brown hair before. When she was "finished" my hair was two toned. The teacher had to come over and cover my hair with another red color and they charged me $99. They said they were sorry and gave me five packs of tricare advanced treatment. I will Never go here ever again. I shouldnt have even paid for the way they treated me and the horrible way they did my hair. AND I WAS THERE FROM 10 am to 4 PM!!!

Been going here for years. This is Roccos advanced academy which teaches fully licensed stylists the "Rocco way" of doing hair. I have received consistently good foils for a low cost. No frills though, if you just get a foil/color dont expect a blow dry. I have long hair so cuts have been good for me as well. Beauty school prices... Beauty school feel... with high end salon results.

Amazing stylists. Taylor and Kersha did my color and bang trim respectively. I recommend both girls because my color turned out great and my bangs are perfect! They are very skilled and pleasant women to chat with. Double processes are not easy and Im really particular about how I want my bangs.
