I use caterers on almost a daily basis for my job, and I am consistently disappointed with Common Roots. Why did I keep using them for so long? Variety; and the fact that their food is delicious. However, I cannot put up with the unprofessionalism any longer. Almost every order has some problem from wrong delivery to late delivery to rude customer service. Today was the last straw. They arrived 30 minutes late, which delayed our event for 150 people. The delivery person was combative to me and the receptionist, and the catering representative was useless and rude. Whether its the late delivery person or the incompetent catering rep, nobody can take responsibility, everyone of them has someone else to blame or a story to tell. On top of all that, the food is extremely expensive for what you get. Do yourself a favor and go with French Meadow or Macys Design Cuisine instead.
