This review is based solely on the Budget Truck Rental aspect of Knollwood Self Storage. If I could give Budget Truck Rentals zero stars, I would. I have moved quite a few times and this was my first time using budget, as the price came out slightly cheaper. However, after my experience, I will never use Budget or recommend it to anyone. Trying to pick up my truck took nearly 2 hours as there were computer issues, I am not basing my review on that though. Having worked in customer service myself, I know how frustrating technology issues can be. I became frustrated with the lack of concern at working toward a solution in a timely manner. There was also an additional $150 deposit upon arrival which I had not been told about and which I had to fight to get back when returning the truck at the end of my move. The employee that I interacted with when returning my truck rental was one of the most rude and degrading people I have ever had to interact with. As I stated previously, I had to push to even get the $150 deposit back which I was not even aware existed when making the reservation. The employee made rude comments, implying that I did not know what I was talking about in terms of my refund. All in all it was an absolutely horrible experience that I would not wish upon anyone. Moving can be stressful enough in the first place, please go with literally any other moving company if you are hoping for a smooth move.

I reserved a Budget Truck from this location with 3 weeks in advance of my move. I received all the confirmation emails from Budget and even received a reminder email two days prior to my move, only to get there the morning of, and learn that there was NO TRUCK FOR ME TO USE. They had overbooked and "called customer" the day before. I received NO PHONE CALL and wasnt even on their list. They seemed to have no organization at all to track reservations as everything was scribbled in the corner of an old envelope. After calling Budgets customer service, my reservation was processed correctly and appeared confirmed from the establishments end. The lady working that day was rude, unaccommodating, and flat out unhelpful from the moment we walked in. I would NOT RECOMMEND renting from this location. Thankfully, I was able to find a UHAUL within min where they were much more willing to help me find a solution.

The units here are clean and climate-controlled. The employees are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The unit is secured by a passcode into the building, and then your own personal lock on your unit. The doors open smoothly and the building is kept to an even climate (around 60).

I had a great experience with Knollwood Self Storage. I rented a Budget Truck and the equipment worked very well. More importantly, the staff (Kris) took such good care of us that we would readily come back anytime. I highly recommend this truck rental company.

Very nice woman helped me get my moving truck. But it was just her so there was a bit of a wait plus she helped another person at the same time, which made it feel a little rushed being there.
