Ive been involved in "combat sports" (and fighting in general) pretty much my entire life and all over the world and I can honestly say that NLC is my favorite gym. You have highly qualified instructors for Jiu-jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai and they all make it a point to try and connect personally with each student regardless of their current skill level, fitness, or goals. This also really helps to attract good students who arent just looking to take two or three classes and "get in the cage" or stroke their egos by beating up on new members. Bottom line, whether youre an experienced pro like me or someone brand new, you can find a home at NLC but only if you make the effort to walk in the door. Come and talk to the instructors and members and youll see why its different than a lot of "MMA gyms" out there that have come and gone in the past few years. Dont wait until youre in "better shape", dont wait until Spring, dont wait until the house of Jupiter is in perfect alignment or that one friend who always talks about training is ready to go with you. It will never be a better time than right now to start.

Ive been to numerous Martial Arts and MMA gyms around the area over the past few years, and finally settled on Next Level Combat. Ive been training their in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost a year now, and it a great program! The instructors are well educated in the martial arts and are great teachers, they break things down into the finer details so everyone can understand the technique thats being taught that day. The students range from big to small, new to experienced; youll meet people from all walks of life here. Its a great place to train if youre looking to learn martial arts, get into shape, compete, or just find something to take up time. Its a top notch facility, with great instructors, a welcoming environment, that also, more often than not, give members the opportunity to train under elite world class martial artists such as former world Jiu Jitsu Champion Roberto Abreu, and Jiu Jitsu legend Eddie Bravo, through numerous seminars. Easily one of the best gyms in Minnesota!!

Started my first introductory class at Next Level Combat today . Ive have had several years of Muaythai training from another gym but had stopped for a year. Itching to start again, finding a new gym was definitely hard. With NLCs unbeatable rates ive decided to give it a shot. Coach Eric and his coaching skills are out of the world.. Very technical and precise. The way he teaches is a very very comfortable way and will help you learn quick. With almost 2 yrs of muaythai under me, he sought out every technique i lack and in the hour i was training i already felt molded into a warrior. Cannot wait to continue training ! And "ALSO" it is hard to find a gym that you feel great after signing up with! UNbeatable Price and Quality instructor for a very very good price. With the quality of the gym and instructor.. The rates are such a steal! I cannot wait for the next class!

Ive been training 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu at Next Level for a while now. But before I decided to enroll I checked a lot of Gyms in the Minneapolis- St. Paul area. Honestly I wasnt very impressed with what I saw. The instructors at Next Level are top notch, high skilled in their art. Which translates into a very positive and friendly environment, that is crucial (I think) for you to learn. The facilities are spacious, clean, and well organized. And the fees are very affordable. The head instructors are always bringing some of the biggest names in the BJJ world for seminars such as Eddie Bravo, Roberto Cyborg, Luis Claudio, Mario Roberto to name a few... So if you are looking for a place to train with very cool vibes, knowledgeable instructors and friendly people en general; Next Level Combat is the place for you... Stop putting it off! and start training!

World Traveler

When it comes to Jiu Jitsu gyms in the twin cities area, this one is by far has the most value for the money. BJJ instructors are world class, with major tournament wins behind their belts. Ive been going to this gym for 3 years, driving almost 45 minutes in traffic, its worth it. Ive had zero BJJ or MMA experience before starting in this gym. BJJ definitely had helped me become more resilient, stronger not only physically but mentally as well. Again, there is no other MMA gym in Minneapolis/St Paul area at that price point with the same level of experienced instructors and the number of classes that they offer. If you got no ego issues and you want to learn something that will help you throughout your life time, check it out! BJJ for life.

Just started attending the Jiujitsu classes at Next level combat. I recently moved and needed to move gyms. The atmosphere is relaxed, the teachers are very helpful. I also enrolled my 8 year old daughter and she enjoys it very much. The kids classes incorporate fun and at the same time practice fundamental skills. I will follow up review next year, but so far I am extremely excited to be a member of Next level combat. Dont let the name or the misconceptions of MMA keep you away from a great aerobic activity. Your kids will achieve more, aim higher and learn lifelong skill at Next Level Combat.

Ive been training at Next Level Combat since the day after it opened (almost 4 years now). I have grown physically and mentally stronger since I started, my knowledge of martial arts has increased exponentially and my confidence has gone through the roof thanks to training there. The instructors are amazing and fun to work with. The students are fun, motivated, and love to learn. It is the healthiest and most fun learning environment Ive ever been in and even though I cant go much while at college, I always look forward to going back. On top of that, it is the best deal for MMA classes around.

I have been at Next Level Combat 9 months now and it is exactly what I was looking for from a gym. The people are great and the training is excellent. In my time here I have lost over 50 pounds! Working out and training at NLC is great because there is always an instructor there to motivate you....its like a having a free personal trainer. Class sizes are small and always a good time. Hands down it is also the best value when it comes to an MMA gym in the Twin Cities. Look around, the pricing cant be beat! I would recommend this gym 10 out of 10 times!!

Everyone is friendly and nice and it overall is a good place to go. I do the boxing classes there and I get a really good workout while I have a lot of fun. They also supply you with gloves and equipment and you can also use the gym there if you want. With the workouts you get a good, overall workout for you whole body and still get in some skills while doing it. They play music which is a nice for working out and have all the equipment you will need. I strongly recommend going to this place if you are looking for a gym and/or lessons for martial arts.

When I first moved to Minnesota I looked around at a few different MMA Gyms in the area, of all the Gyms, Next Level Combat stood out the most, they have exceptional classes both mornings and evenings to meet your busy schedule, also responsive and insightful instruction from the coaches and trainers, Ive been going to Next Level Combat for about six months now and since then I have learned so much, I love going to this gym and my training partners are remarkable people. Overall Next Level Combat is an awesome place to train The Martial Arts.
