During the time of my experience I had recently moved to Arnold. I required an inspection of my truck for licensing. I had performed a little research and Christian Brothers seemed like a clean respectable establishment. I made an appointment and I dropped my vehicle off on a Thursday evening. I recieved a phone call Friday evening and I was informed that the brake lights were not functioning. I was given a price of $48 to perform the repair. This type of thing is something that I would normally perform myself but I allowed them to proceed with the repair. The price given to me was not unreasonable and the truck was already at their location. I then was not contacted again by Christian Brothers until I had opened communication again. I had to call them myself the next Tuesday evening. It was as though the had forgotten about my vehicle. They did not give me a clear report during my phone call. They then called me back an hour later informing me that my truck was ready. I was given a price of $206. This caught me off guard. I then went to the shop to pick up the truck and dispute the price. I argued that the price was not fairly communicated to me while the repair was being performed. The gentleman insulted me while I was trying to dispute the price. He told me," I am sorry that you cant perform simple math." I maintained that the price was not made clear. He eventually removed $25 from the price. I gave in and payed the price, literally. I had payed $178 for the replacement of a fuse and two bulbs. The bulbs were most likely not needed, they were replaced due to poor troubleshooting. I left sick to my stomach. In response to the reply below....... Thank you for the clear explanation. That would have been wonderful during the time of the repair. The inspection wad only $12, my truck did not require emissions testing. Bottom line....I approved the additional repair under the pretense that it was $48. I never was given a dollar amount higher than that until the repair was completed. The fact that an hour worth of service equals $112 was not communicated. Your communication was poor as demonstrated by the extreme delay. The gentleman behind the desk was rude and very quick tempered. (By the way my math skills are fine, my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering can back that up. ) I am frustrated that I was led into paying that amount for a repair I could have performed myself. In fact I would have enjoyed the act. I agree that the mechanic deserves to get paid, it certainly was not their fault. It is the communication from managment that caused the issue. As a young professional I can guarantee you will never see any of my vehicles again.

We would like to recommend Christian Brothers Automotive, 2190 Church Road, Arnold Mo 63010, for the outstanding service my wife and I received. Walking in, we noticed a difference. The waiting room was like home! It was comfortable, clean and the music was uplifting. Steve was first to meet us. Since I had an appointment for an inspection he had some information. He was professional and courteous. I told him I needed new brakes even though my car only needed the State Emission test. I also told him that I would need the serpentine belt checked as it was well past the date I should have changed it. While we were waiting, Robyn, Co-owner with her husband Gary, made my wife and I feel like family. Complimentary coffee or soda was offered. After their free inspection we were told the belts were a little cracked but our brakes were fine. We were shocked at the honesty. Steve worked a quote for the serpentine belt and it was about 200 dollars less then a local dealer had quoted me. I decided to do the belt change and since it was lunch time they offered to give us a ride to the restaurant we wanted to eat at. When the car was done they came back and picked us up. Sorry for being long winded but it was a great pleasure to have this type of service, honesty and such competitive pricing that we will be seeing Christian Brothers Automotive for our repair and auto service needs.

As a new customer at Christian Brothers I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the service. Right off the bat Gary, the owner, made me feel welcome. While I normally do most of my own work I cant do my own state inspections, which brought me to CBA. Typically I have to make appointments to get in for an inspection due to the lack of technicians or space at most of the other places. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes plus they tracked down which TPMS sensor I was having trouble with, at no additional cost, and provided a plausible reason why it quit working. I also noticed that they are an authorized motorcycle inspection station which brings one more service closer to home. On another note, their website is very well done and offers online appointments. I think the only conceivable issue Id have with CBA at this point is going to be junk mail. While I dont mind communicating electronically I despise constant advertisements which I see as the electronic version of a pushy salesman. Hopefully the "unsubscribe" button works well once I start seeing that type of behavior :)

This happened about a year ago, I made a trip to St Louis from Arkansas, on the way back our car broke down on a Sunday afternoon, my wife was recently diagnosed with cancer and had to take all er meds, we only had plenty of meds for Tuesday evening, this place was very fast at fixing the car and as well very understanding that i kept on asking the estimated time for my car to be fixed ( I was facing the issue of either getting the car fixed or fly her home or get her meds overnight-ed to the hotel) as you can understand it was a very stressful ordeal, but they were quick at having the car ready, the charges were very reasonable for the kind of shop they run, which I must say was very clean and reception was pleasant even when I hope not to use this location anytime again ;), (remember Im form Arkansas), I highly recommend their services for anyone, I dont ever write reviews but this guys did what many other wouldnt have done, Thanks you guys you were very helpful in such tough moments.

The atmosphere at this shop is warm and welcoming. Its not your typical automotive service office. They are very warm and welcoming. The office is neat and orderly, and the shop itself is organized and clean as well. If you are looking for someone to service your vehicle, look no further. I have gone to Valvoline for years to have my oil changed, but I am happy to say that Valvoline has lost my business and Christian Brothers has earned it. The price, the service, and the attitude of everyone working at Christian Brothers are far superior to any other automotive service I have been to. They will offer you a ride back home if you need one, or to work or anywhere else you need to go, within reason that is. I walked down to the grocery store and got some lunch and they allowed me to use their break room to warm it up and provided a soda , utensils, and a napkin. Great people who offer great service!
