The worst automotive repair shop I have ever been to. Please read this before using Olympic Automotive. We were given an $1,800 estimate at another shop to replace tie rod ends, water pump, and head gasket. Olympic said they could do it for between $1000 - $1200, because we only needed 3 of the 4 tie rod ends and the water pump but the head gasket would not need to be replaced. They said they could save on the labor because they would not charge us for labor on the one set of tie rods because they had to remove those parts anyway to get to the water pump. In the end the total was about $1600. We were never notified about the difference and were not given the discount on labor promised when we first brought it in. They double charged us on labor to remove the same parts for the tie rods and water pump. They did only half the work other the shop was going to do, at only $200 less and over $400 more than their own estimate. We were not first time customers. They treat repeat patrons as badly as new customers. Also, they usually do not honor the coupons published in local circulars. This shop is very dishonest. We were lied to several times by the manager. Many of their repairs had to be redone a short time later. They outsource alignments and other services at a high additional surcharge. I want everyone to know the deceptive practices of this shop. Please beware.

I love how cheap their oil changes are at $18 per oil change. The reason you can get oil changes for so cheap is so that they can get you in the door. Great strategy! My problem with them is that if you keep coming in for an oil change with no noticeable problems theyll suggest problems that might not need to be fixed at all until a year later. For instance, they told me that my brakes needed to be replaced soon one day I was in there. I drove around and did not hear any wear indicators. I then took a look at my break pads and saw that they werent that worn down. 3 months later they let me see my brakes, (which was a plus), but pretty much told me that I could wait a few seasons till I needed to replace my brake pads. I wouldve easily given them a 5 star if incidences like this had not taken place. They sometimes have inflated prices/estimates also. They are supposed to be a Christian owned auto service. Theyre typically busy, and I believe that they have a lot of people that typically trust them, but Im too educated and informed about my car to be tricked. To me these guys are just like the other big named companies. If my car is healthy then there is no need to work on it!

Just went to this place to get my brakes checked out. I thought I was in need of new brakes. And I was pretty sure I needed new pads at the very least. After they checked them out, they informed me that I actually didnt have anything wrong with my breaks, and showed me what was causing the noise (some rust). So basically I just went in to get a brake consultation. After the head guy notified me where the noise was coming from -- think his name was Derrik or Derryl? -- he didnt even charge me for the consultation, after I insisted on paying for the consultation. Another mechanic or shop could have easily swindled me into getting new pads and rotors when I didnt actually need them because I was under the mistaken belief that I needed new pads and maybe new rotors. Now this was good service compared to a lot of places I have been. I will be returning here to get my mechanical needs in the future. I would recommend trying them out if you need any work on your car.

Ive taken my vehicle to Olympia for many years now and have never once had any problems. The staff are polite and professional. They have taken care of numerous things for me, including the simple things, like an oil change, to more complicated problems as a slipping transmission. They are comparable in pricing to any other shop, but they go that extra mile to make you feel like youre part of the family. I have the utmost confidence in Jeff and Derrick that theyll take care of me, no matter what the situation. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone and if you do go somewhere else, youre probably paying too much for things you most likely dont need.

I have been taking my cars to Olympia Automotive for 2 years. They have always been very professional and polite when I bring my car in. I have been so impressed with the work that they perform for myself and my family that I have referred several of my friends and neighbors to them. Derrick in the front office has always taken the time to listen to my needs and make recommendations on the repair work that I need. They use quality parts and always stand behind their work. Thank you guys for all that you do. I will continue to use your services and recommend you to my friends.

I have had the pleasure of having to take both of my vehicles to Olympic one domestic and another foreign van, and not only were they timely with the repairs, they were repeatedly honest re: what needed to be done. I have referred many people to them, and it helps that the owner is a Christ follower in how he honestly runs his business. If you are tired of getting the shaft from other mechanics, take your vehicle to a team of men that wont tell you the transmission is bad, when you took it in for a oil change, and even though you know the transmission is fine.

Ive been using this shop for more than 5 years and they have always provided good service at a fair price. They also stand behind their work. Totally satisfied. I was alarmed when I saw a previous review (Daryl & Sparkle P.) that made claims re: tie rod ends and poor service so I looked to see what other reviews this person wrote. There was a review for Mid-America Transmission. I have no experience with them so I wont speak for their servic, but I went to their shop and saw a person working there who was fired from Olympia for theft....go figure!

I have had my Toyota Camry into this shop numerous times in the last several years. I am always given fair estimates and the job is done in a timely manner. The manager, Darryl, is always very curteous and pleasant. For this reason, I take my car in once yearly for a tune up and am always comfortable that they will make sure i have what my car needs to take me through the next year! I have read some of the negative reviews above and am surprised to hear these things, because anyone I know that has been to this shop has been very happy.

Nice people there However 6 month following a tire rotation here I found out they they rotated different sized tires on the left and right side of the vehicle. The tires were well worn out and if they had just told me I would have purchased new tires there. I did not know why my vehicle was shaking so badly on curves. Their oversight messed my struts up and kept them from earning more $$ with tire sales. I will never go there again, I cant gamble with my safety and vehicle costs due to service of incompetence
