Lies. A gentleman, the Manager of this shop, proceeded to suggest that my Catalytic Converter was bad. A repair that averages from $900 to $1,200. My car has NO such symptoms. I brought in my car for an Emissions Inspection. When I failed the "Readiness" portion of the inspection, they told me "Drive it for 50 miles" to make sure the OBD-II registered all systems were nominal. At that point I had put nearly 75+ miles on the car. I had recently fixed a Transmission Valve Solenoid. A repair that had rectified ALL of the issues my car was having. The Two employees I spoke with assured me that I could bring my vehicle back in to just check the "Readiness" portion of the examination, not counting against my free Re-Inspection allowed by law. The GM came out, after my second Readiness failure to inform me that this was in fact not the case and counted it against my free Re-Inspection. Then despite having no such symptoms, suggested my Catalytic converter was bad. A blatant and obvious lie. Nothing was done for my car and the General Manager spent 5 minutes implying that perhaps I might be an undercover agent for the State of Missouri Highway Patrol out to get him and his diagnostician.

I have to give credit to recent visit at midas where they indeed corrected an issue of the work done back in August 2011. I too was getting a bit concerned with the quality of service at the shop, but on January 27, 2012 the shop stepped up and corrected the issue of prior work. I know it was a loss for them but it will bring in future revenue from me. Seems like a new manger shaping it up. I was about to seek another repair shop, but the correction and rework is satisfactory and I will continue to use them. Like many long term businesses there are some potential personnel and issues to address. Seems like the negative experiences I was having with this shop has turned around and the personnel was respectful to my complaint and went above and beyond to correct it. For anyone which had negative experiences 6 months to a year ago, I feel they do deserve another chance. For those needing service do try their shop. Manager Jesse Livengood took time and worked with me as well as the very upbeat counter personnel and the employees themselves.

Complete rip off!!! Dont go here. They overcharge and tell you things need to be done that simply dont. I got a quote from them, took it somewhere else and was told something different. When I went back to them to recheck that the work needed to be done, they told me they would call before they did anything. Then they went ahead and made the original repairs (with out calling) and charged me twice as much than the Chesterfield Midas quoted me. When I went to complain, the manager told me to call his boss then he walked out into the shop, when 5 seconds before I asked to speak to him, he was sitting in an office in the back. I was left to deal with the lady who worked behind the counter. Who was just as useless.

Ignorant employees (dont listen) I took my car up for a simple oil change and told them (which I recorded so I could prove it) to not roll down my driver side window cause I am getting it fixed the next week after my trip but they still rolled it down. Now I have to make a trip to the cold states with a window that wont go up. Also when I got back to my house I found out that my hood would not shut so I brought it back and they claim it is not their fault but they took it and slammed it shut now I hope they did not break anything else because of that. I suggest you bring it to a different place if you want your car in the same condition that you brought it in.

I took my car in for a tire rotation and an oil change. When I got back home I looked at my tires when I was walking into my house and noticed that the tires were not rotated. I looked at the receipt which indicated I received and paid for the tire rotation. I called back and asked them why they did not rotate my tires. They made up some false reason why they choose not to rotate them but if I would bring it back they would actually rotate the tires this time. I wonder if they even changed the oil...?

They always give me prompt attention upon arrival. Great customer service. Some dude named Craig kept me informed about the progress of my repairs and there were no surprises. There technicians get the job done right the first time. Their prices are mostly fair however, they might not be the cheapest on some repairs. You can have peace of mind that you and your vehicle will be treated with respect. I am a repeat customer and I bring all my vehicles here. I Would recommend them.

Ive had two different cars come through Midas, and Ive never once has a problem with them. When I had to get new tires, they showed me the tires I would need, and gave me a side by side view of the different prices for each brand and explained what would be best for my vehicle. Theyre quick when I need an oil change and the mechanics always make sure to show you what is wrong, rather than just telling you. The new manager is very friendly and professional, and always accommodating.

On 4/13, I went to this Midas for some squealing brake issues on my 09 Honda Civic, and I was very pleased with my experience. The employees are all very nice, but I especially appreciated the manager for helping me find solutions that aligned with my extremely tight budget. The level of consideration I received is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this shop, and I will most certainly be back.

The autopart store next door didnt have what I needed so they sent me over here. Tim greeted me at the door and took care of everything. Everyone here was friendly and awesome. They didnt try to upsell me on everything and treat me like a poor little thing because Im a girl either. I have other stuff thatll need to get worked on and Ill be bringing it back here for sure.

I was recently told by the Honda Dealer that I needed at $500 repair in order to get an oil change. I went to Midas for a 2nd opinion. I will now trust these guys because they were able to change the oil with no additional costs. It was a very simple repair that did not require $500 worth of work. I will be back for all my repairs! Highly recommend.

I have good experience in Midas Ballwin store. I feel they are reasonable in their charge and do not ask you to replace unless its really bad. Also shows you the damage and explains you the pros and cons and the time we have in hand before we might hit the next issue. Overall had good experience with this store.

Very helpful and courteous. I had some problems with my Honda and had it fixed here. I called around to a few places and the prices were good. It was nice being shown what was wrong instead of just being told by someone that there are hundreds of dollars worth of problems. I will definetely be back.
