This was the worst service EVER! Im from out of town and just visiting beautiful Bozeman for a couple weeks, I had a package being sent, somehow it was passed to the USPS of Bozeman, however we dont have a mailbox at the ski resort. (which i didnt know because again im not from here) They sent my package back without contacting me first. I called and no one answered during business hours. I left a message did not recieve a call back. I called again today and talked to the lady, Im sorry but if you hate your job that much, that you have to be so RUDE to someone trying to figure out what is going on with a package, you should QUIT! Find a job more suitable for your horrible service. I travel the country for work, I have packages sent everywhere, this was by far way worse service then in NY. I believe if it were up to the community here in Bozeman, everyone would be fired from here. I knew it was going to be a head ache as soon as I read the reviews. Bozeman is a wonderful place and everyone is nice for the most part this is the first lady to be so rude. I was extremely mad when hanging up the phone on her. I would recommend not using this place as much as possible. Have a blessed day, yall!

DO NOT EXPECT TO BE IN & OUT Probably one of the worst post offices Ive been in (besides Jacskson, MS). For starters there will always be 1 person working, with a line of at least 10 people waiting. Regardless of what tome you go to this place there will always be a line almost to the door. Second, you would think that with a long line the worker would speed up the pace right? Nope they take their sweet little time, Nd god help you if they need to go to the back to get something because it take them some time to get back. I try to avoid this place at all costs. Most of the time I go to the post office its becauae I have no ither choice (addess change, mailbox keys, passport, po box) but if you need to drop off a package or have it shipped with a label, save yourself the time and trouble and use the online shipping. Print your label with what service you want and put it to your package, drop it off at the counter (skip that long line) and leave. You can also drop off or pay at the counter at Rosaures which is faster most times but can get packed during holidays. Anyways avoid this particular post office if you can or youll be there for half hour at the least.

I may be 23 years old, but I know the difference between good customer service and absolute trash. You walk in there and everything seems great... until you notice the ONE person at the counter with 22 people in line. I have never seen more than one disgruntled, annoyed and rude employee working at one time. I paid for overnight shipping to Idaho for my buddys passport he left here since he was leaving the country in two days. I think the charge was like 30 bucks. Long story short, he didnt get it for 4 days. I moved to a new address and waited about 4-5 days to get my keys for my mailbox. When I walked in and told them, I was told that waiting that long is, "stupid" and i should be smarter. When she asked me if there was anything she could do for me, I replied, "Yeah, get a better attitude." Immediately I was told the police would be called for harassment unless I left. This happened around last November. Unfortunately, its pretty much the closest post office to me so Im forced to go there. If you can avoid it, dont go. Its sad that I have to give this place a poor-FAIR rating. There is nothing fair about it

Worst Service Ever!!! I called the Baxter Post Office yesterday and asked if I could drop off my tax stuff after 5PM and still have it post-marked for the 18th. He replied "So you’re telling me the extra 3 days the IRS gave everyone wasnt enough for you!" Wow was I blown away. He then rambled on that the employees there were not federally funded and they only get paid from the proceeds from their stamp sales. He then also said that one of the employees had to come in after hours and collect the mail at midnight to have it all post marked for the 18th, which was the deadline for taxes. I almost wanted to tell him that my spouse had passed away and it was a rough year just to make him feel bad. Anyhow, I told him I was sorry for his troubles and appreciated his time. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE???

I mailed an Express mail envelope yesterday that was to be delivered by 3:00 pm today. Guess what it says that it left the Bozeman office at 4:30 yesterday and no update. It was guaranteed by 3:00 p.m. today. I have tried calling the local post office and the phone is always busy and when it does ring it goes to a mailbox that is completely FULL. You are told to press to contact the receptionist and once again you get a recording that the mailbox is full. I tried calling the 1-800 number and all you get is a recorded message. UGH!!!!! Cant get anyone to tell me where my package is and when it will be delivered. I will definitely be filling a claim for this and demanding a refund. Should have sent it Fed Ex or UPS.

I had ordered a replacement DSLR to shoot a wedding and arranged to have it shipped via USPS. The shipping was priority 3 day mail. Not only has it now been FIVE days since the package was suppose to arrive (making this eight days total) BUT USPS APPEARS TO HAVE LOST MY PACKAGE. Please avoid shipping with them at all costs. The central hub is of no help and I have nowhere to turn to next. Not only have they ruined my business, they have also ruined a wedding. I sincerely hope this branch fails and they turn the USPS building into a Cheesecake Factory restaurant. Everybody loves that place and then at least the plot of land could be used to return some joy to the world. TLDR: Just stay away from this place.

I really tried to like this place. But rarely is there a friendly salesperson who doesnt act as if you also know the ins and outs of the USPS system. I sent over 75 packages with these people in one month and not a single person knew my name. I had multiple [packages lost which has never happened to me with any other USPS location nationwide. They gave me the run around trying to blame everyone else possible and did not listen to the detailed answers I provided them to their questions regarding the package. It is still lost and I have not received my insurance from the package. I have started using other shipping services even though they generally cost more.

A special thank you to the shining star of Bozeman USPS, Nick, the guy who usually works at the smaller kiosk to the right, ponytail guy. He has easily helped me more than all of the other employees combined! He has helped me ship packages overseas, change my address, get keys for new mailboxes (a bunch of stuff I had no idea how to do) all without confusing me and without being condescending or making me feel stupid, ect. Otherwise, Ive had generally positive & time efficient experiences at this USPS location! The lines move pretty quickly, and they are usually fully staffed to get you in and out.
