Im generally too lazy to write reviews, so you can understand how much I must dislike COX for me to do this. COX is terrible though. Ill start off on the cable TV end. The picture is not very good. When it works its alright, but its always getting pixelated, especially when watching from the DVR (which has a tiny HDD). PPV doesnt even come in HD. I quit buying it after the first time. Dana White, you can thank COX for my money youre not receiving. Now on to internet. COX throttles the internet of people who use it for things like downloading. When I pay you for my 7mb or whatever speed, I understand that during times of heavy use I may not get the max, but dont slow down my connection because Im using what I paid for. Oh, and their customer service is rude and not helpful. I cant wait to move away from here to a place where I have a choice.

Ive had so many problems with Cox internet. First, the installer did not show up for the installation. I had to call Cox and they tried to blame it on me, stating that the installer called me when, in fact, he did not. I had to reschedule and waste more time and they did nothing to compensate for that. Then when he arrived, he moseyed around and took an hour. He also told me I needed to figure out the wireless myself. So I called Cox back the next day because I couldnt figure it out and they told me it wasnt their fault and to call my router. The lady also stated he was supposed to set up my wireless. Called back again 3 days later and another representative told me it wasnt their responsibility to set up wireless and I would be charged EVEN MORE money to get my internet to work. Waste of time and waste of money. Youve been warned.

HORRIBLE service. The customer service reps when I call are not rude, but are not very friendly, and they cant fix the problem 99% of the time. For cable, the TV service went out so much, we switched to DTV and love it. Unfortunately, Cox is the only option we have for internet, and its just as bad or worse! It randomly goes out, and when we call for help, they always blame our router, our router is brand new and can handle more bandwith than Cox can put out! They are just so frustrating, and the bill seems to go up anywhere from$1-$5 every couple of months. They are taking advantage of their monopoly on internet service here and unfortunately rant about it on here is all I can do. If you have a choice, dont use Cox.

My father is 85 years old and lives in Valley and relies on his land-line as his only communication. His phone service went out two days ago, he called them and did not offer to help. They said to reset the modem. He said the neighbor had a COX truck out, a service tech got up on the pole and was working, ever sense that time, the phone has not worked. It is not the modem! I called at 7:30 am this morning, they were supposed to expedite a technician, but put the work order in for 10-12 on Monday morning. Its 8:48pm Sunday and his phone is still not working. Im so disappointed in the service and lack up understanding for the circumstances for the elderly.

Ed Dalton Christie (please forgive any misspelling) of the Cox staff in Omaha, Nebraska, did an exceptional job of assisting me and my 90-year-old father whose telephone service was interrupted today. I dont live with dad but rather in a nearby state and do my best to manage his affairs from a distance. When I explained to Christie that this is an upsetting time for him because the church he has attended for many years is closing this weekend, she went out of her way to track down information that was instrumental in getting dads service back online. Shes a wonder and Cox is fortunate to have her representing them. Thanks so much.

I am very pleased with Brian Renz construction planner and our installer Jim, after tornado hit, we were 13 days with no services, phone, internet and cable. We had 2 techs out prior who could not figure out the problem. Brian was able to instantly identify our blown fuse. He assured me our service that same day, sent out a team! Joe set us up with the coolest contour devices and got us all up to date. Amazing service! Very loyal clients over 12 years. There is no comparison with other companies. Been there done that! Thanks guys!!

Price rates continue to increase. They claim to be the fastest internet around yet majority of the time the wi-fi is patchy. Even with a new router the internet cuts out and lags at times. Also, beware if you get surveys emailed to you. Cox says they will send you an Amazon gift card to fill it out but after you take the time to answer all their questions they wont actually send you anything. Cox can make all the promises they want but time after time they fail to deliver.

Since September of 2016, Cox stuck me in a contract, tv picture or sound goes in and out, we have replaced 3 DVRs, 4 modums, and still have to suffer daily updates that dont fix any problems. I spend more time either on the automated system, or on hold than I do talking to customer services. I am paying 197.00 per month for 3 TVs, only 1 DVR, Internet, and phone.

Dont ever sign up for something new when they have an offer for a rebate either cash or Visa card you wont get it. They will adjust your bill, but only after you complain for months. They need to work on that aspect of their customer service. I have been a customer for a long time and signed up for 2 new services which caused me nothing but problems.

Worst customer service ever! Horrible! I dread having to call these people. However, they raise my bill every year then its a big game trying to negotiate down. Cox cable needs to invest in some customer service TRAINING for the reps. They are incompetent & rude. Cox Cable could care less about loyalty and on time payments. I despise this company!

Absolutely the worst possible cable provider, worst products & services, & definitely the worst place to be employed. I was let go because I had to have an emergency surgery, and while I was recovering, my absences were still being counted without my knowledge. I pointed out because I was physically unable to make it to work and do my job.

Worst service ever for business and home. Called because internet was down and tech support kept saying they would help me and instead kept transfering me. Business support of service within 2 hours for business is a joke. Its like they dont care about their customers at all because they think they are the only game in town!

This company is as bad as it gets. Signal is terrible, constantly scrambling shows. Internet is slow and does not perform as expected. Rates continue to go up and quality of service goes down. I needed an issue with the cable fixed, eight people came out to fix the issue and it was never resolved. I hate this company.

Expensive, but worth it - internet service 50mb runs at over 55mb 98% of the time. Customer service was great the one time I spoke with them and the cable service is slightly better than my previous one in Kansas City (time warner) I would suggest for the highest speeds in the area go for Cox Cable.
