Tech support has long been known as the business for the socially inept who enjoy condescension and overcompensating. Problem is, most of us need tech support. Minor problems may be fixable by jiggling a wire or playing with Microsoft settings, but when something significant fails, the service of teckies is required. I went into Simple Computer Repair with several problems -- a computer hard drive failure that required a data back up, installation of a wireless card and installation of a new hard drive. Let me start by saying that their work on installing hardware and backing up data was excellent and problem free. And their pricing for the work seemed really cheap compared to Best Buy/Geek Squad. So why the two stars? Well, their customer service was horrendous. The woman working seemed irritated that I was there and didnt want to listen to what was going on with the computer. Then, when things started to go wrong with the installation, the customer service managed to get worse. When I picked up the computer and turned it on, the computer recognized that a wireless card existed, but the computer couldnt connect to the wireless network. When I called the shop to explain the installation wasnt working, they didnt want to help diagnose the problem, they only wanted me to bring the computer back. So I did. They tinkered with the software and claimed it was working. When I returned home after the problem was "fixed," the computer still couldnt connect to the wireless. When I called back, I tried to talk through the issue with the woman working there in case it was just something I didnt understand so that I didnt have to go back in to the store. She didnt want to hear about it and just repeated that I should come in. I pushed and finally got to speak with the owner or manager of the shop. He was actually willing to come out to the house and solve the problem. He was so nice that I wanted to give the place 5 stars, but he didnt actually solve the problem. I still couldnt connect to wireless and had to bring in Geek Squad to configure the wireless software with the wireless router. Bottom line: the place is great for installing hardware, but if you want something fixed that involves specific software being compatible with hardware (so that the computer just turns on and works when you get home), its not the place to go. Two stars for the good work, minus three for the bad experience.

Ive used Simple Computer repair 3 times now and every time Im more impressed with their great customer service. They listen to the customer and will go above and beyond to help with little issues. Believe me people, this is the place to go for repair. I recently experience a complete shutdown on my computer due to a Microsoft update issue. They were able to do a patch to get through so they could get the revised M/S update to correct the problem and get me running again. Ive also referred two clients to them and they were equally happy with their service, attention to detail and results.

I called to check the status on my computer and they could not locate it.......? How do you LOSE a computer? Its not like it was a laptop either, it was a full PC. Anyway they found it later and said they "thought" they had called me, obviously did not. Tried to charge me $200 for a hard drive replacement. I am all for small businesses making money but $200 for a hard drive replacement is a bit ridiculous, new drives are about $50. Definately not going here again. Hopefully whoever I take it to now can at least retrieve my data.

A Great Place To Call To Get Real Honest Answers! I called several places before taking my laptop to Simple Computer Repair. Simple was the lowest price in town by far. When I arrived I was greeted by employee named Joe. He was very friendly and so were the guys in the back. They came out to explain about the virus that I received. They even gave me tips to avoid certain viruses on my laptop. I am so lucky to find a computer repair company close in the neighborhood!

Super nice people. They have repaired my cracked iphone twice. (My fault for being clumsy) I can choose the color of glass and completely customize the colors of the phone. It is so unique and people are always commenting on it! A manager actually hand delivered my repaired phone to me in a busy shopping center because the store had closed and I wasnt able to get there in time. These people have not forgotten the meaning of customer service!

This place has expensive prices. I went there to see how much they charge to fix my cracked iPhone 4. They told me they charge 95$ bucks!! i was shocked! Because a day before i went there i checked out their website and it said they charge 70 bucks for cracked lcd on the iphone 4. So anyways i can find somewhere cheaper then that so dont go there people unless you have money to waste cause im pretty sure you can find somewhere less expensive

They dont care about your experience as a customer there. It took them 1 week to repair my ipad mini, while they originally promised to deliver same day. The guys in the repair shop are nice but they wont provide you with any status update unless you call them. So I finally got my device 1 week and 5 follow up calls later. No discount was offered since "their margins were low already". ($129 + tax for screen replacement.)

I have been there numerous times with my husband, from broken screens, shot batteries, and even one time they couldnt fix it. I work across from them and see them daily and are friendly and respectful in and out of the store. Even whey they couldnt fix my phone they refunded me without asking, and gave me contact info on someone who could fix my phone. This place is legit, from staff to customer service. Give it a try.

Very Disappointed. They ruined my first gen. backwards compatible PS3. They use a third party repair for game consoles, and they do not care about your stuff. Free diagnosis does not mean go ahead and fix it without letting someone know whats wrong with it. Justin is very phony and if you have a problem the "owner" Jim will not talk to you he makes you talk to Medina. beware beware beware take nothing there...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I left my macbook air there to replace the motherboard, They told me it was going to take about one month to do this, when I got there to check if my computer was ready they tell me that my computer was RECYCLED!!! THEY DIDNT GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME NOT EVEN TO SAY THAT THE COMPUTER WAS NOT REPARABLE! Run away from those guys if you want to keep your computer.

I dont recommend this store for any repairs I brought my laptop into this store. A friend found MY data (TurboTax) on the loaner computer they received from this store and called me. IF it had been in the hands of someone else who knows what could have happened. What about the data on their computer they brought in for repair?

From the minute I called until I picked up my fixed computer, these people were friendly and professional. They didnt talk down to me or use the frightful computer lingo only spoken by the few true "geeks". I loved the flat fee rate and they completed everything in a day. I hope I wont need it, but if I do I will be back!
