I chose ABC Auto Body because of all the great reviews posted here. Unfortunately, their customer service and quality of work was far below what I expected. My Scion X-B had been rear ended, causing damage to the rear lift gate (door) and rear bumper cover. Don Hess, the owner, gave me an estimate that was comparable to other body shops I visited. I chose his shop over the others because of his glowing reviews. That was a mistake. The work entailed smoothing out dents on the rear lift gate, replacing the rear bumper cover, and painting both the bumper cover and the lift gate to match the pre-existing paint color on the car. Seemed simple enough. They finished the work on 08/12/2015. When I went to pick the car up I immediately noticed several problems with their work. First of all, the paint color on the lift gate and bumper cover did not match the color on the rest of the car. They painted it too dark. Secondly, there was a ripple in the paint on the bumper cover that had to be buffed out. In addition, the handle on the rear lift gate was very loose. It was not loose when I brought it in. They had to take the lift gate apart and remove the handle in order to tighten it, while I waited, The big problem that remained was the color mismatch. They had painted the rear lift gate and rear bumper cover too dark. I asked his mechanic, Jeff, about it. Jeff insisted that this was the best they could do without blending the new paint into the old paint on the rear quarter panels. My insurance company wouldnt pay for "blending:, so they didnt do it. I reluctantly accepted his explanation, but decided to take my car to several body shops afterwards for a second opinion. They all told me the same thing; that it was a "color problem", not a "blending problem". They said the color of the "new paint" on the lift gate and rear bumper cover should have been much closer to the color of the "old paint" on the rest of the car. They said any slight difference in color should not be visible to an "untrained eye". The color difference on my car is very obvious. It looks like a "two tone" car now. One of the body shops told me they would not put out work like that. They all told me that the lift gate and bumper cover needed to be repainted. I have posted two photos so you can see what Im talking about. All you have to do is click on "see photos" on the main google page for ABC Auto Body, and photos of my car will appear at the bottom. I went back to Don Hess about a month later, in September 2015, and asked him to repaint the rear lift gate and bumper cover. He agreed that the color match was terrible and told me he would "fix it", but wanted to wait until January 2016 (4 months later) to take care of it. I brought my car back to him in February 2016, and asked him how he was going to fix it. He told me he would lighten the color on the ends of the bumper, where it comes up against the rear quarter panels, but refused to repaint the rear lift gate which is also painted the wrong color. When I pressed him on this issue, he became rude and sarcastic. I told Don I would have nothing more to do with him, and would be posting a review of my experience online. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in over 40 years of car ownership, and thats saying a lot. I was shocked by how poorly I was treated, especially considering the glowing reviews he received here on Google. How he got all of these glowing reviews is a mystery to me. He did sloppy work on my car, and treated me in an unprofessional manner. Based on all of the mistakes they made, its obvious they put very little effort into making sure my car was done properly. The quality control was terrible. Don Hess may be capable of doing good work when he wants to, but he certainly didnt do a good job on my car. Based on my overall experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this shop.

My wife visited ABC Auto Body to get quote to fix a fender bender. I told my wife to go to ABC because of all the great customer service comments on google, but unfortunately the customer service was very poor. I cannot comment on the quality of their service because we did not choose them. My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and not very mobile. When my wife walked into the store, the female attendant ordered my my wife move her car over a few spaces without offering any logical reason or hint of apologetic smile. She told my wife to get the VIN# off the car instead of showing her how to do it or doing it for her. She also argued with my wife attempting to persuade her to use our auto insurance to help pay for the dent. She stated that the dent would have no impact on our future insurance premiums as if she was an expert auto insurance representative. Lastly, and most importantly, ABC auto body issued a quote that was more than 2 times higher four other quotes we had received on that day.

I went to ABC Auto Body because of its google reviews. i had a small dent in my car and Don really explained to me what they will do and also gave me a discount. On my way home some hispanic guy came to me and said he will fix the dent for just $100, it was just his sons birthday and he needed the money. To make the story short he made more damage to my car. I went back to Don thinking he would double the cost because the dent became worst. But Don just said its ok, the cost will still be the same. Next time, just be careful and never entertain people like that. They really did a good job. Nowadays, its hard to find someone so honest and not just care about money but genuinely cares about you. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs vehicle repair!

Don Hess, the owner, and his wife, Le, are truly genuine, trustworthy, and professional. I have a 1997 Acura that has a lot of sentimental value to me that had some substantial damage. Being that the vehicle is so old, I no longer carry full coverage insurance on it, so the repairs were going to be completely out of pocket. We took the car to another body shop here in the valley and their quote was over 3 times what Don charged us!! That body shop said that everything needed to be replaced! Don and his team were able to actually repair the car and it looks fantastic! Don and his team went above and beyond my expectations and his obligations to me as a customer. They support the military and our vets and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Got the bumper replaced on my car. They were very friendly, helped me with my insurance, made sure the bumper was put on perfectly, did a quick fix on something else on my car non-accident related that they happened to notice, and even helped me save some money. I would recommend them to anyone, they do a great job. (edit: just noticed Bi Bryces review. Its funny because on the way home I had the exact same thing happen a man in a car approached me and said hed fix my bumper for 150, and when I said no he said it was his kids birthday and needed the money, his kids were even in the back seat. Luckily I still said no but be careful, he must hang around that part of town since theres alot of auto shops.)
