Six months ago this post office stopped delivering my mail for reasons that are still unclear. Around July of 2015 i contacted them because at that time it had only been 3 weeks without mail. They gave me some reason why the mail had stopped but it didnt make much sense. Something about the mail box being full. I was assured though that the mail delivery would resume. And it did. For about a month. Then the mail stopped again. I called the post office after checking getting phone calls from the bank about mail being returned and I was told that the problem had been fixed. But I didnt accept her answer and after a little bit more prodding she comes back and says "oh, i see the problem now. The man you spoke to last time forgot to change this in the system." After that phone call, some mail started coming back in. I thought everything was fine. But in the last few weeks i noticed that some mail that was supposed to have arrived has not. For example, financial papers, mail from the dr office, replacement credit card from Capitol One, and most importantly, my NH drivers license. I also got a voicemail from the medical center here in Derry telling me that they had tried to send something but it was returned. This evening I called down to the post office and was assured again that the problem would get taken care. And Im sure it will be. Derry is a wonderful place to live. There is only one drawback to the town, and that is this post office out of the Twilight Zone.

I hate to say it but the employees at the Derry post office are the most inept bunch that I have ever seen. They fall short on all tiers from the management to delivery and the people at the desk in the post office. I have never before lived in a place where receiving someone elses mail in my mailbox was an almost weekly occurrence, but that is a reality here in Derry. The postal workers are also too lazy to ring the buzzer when I have a package so they just stick a notice in the box for me to pick it up at the post office. Because of this, any package sent to me takes an extra day before it is in my hands. The people at the desk act like doing any sort of work is a chore, the line is often so long it reaches the door. The sad part is that there will be one person manning the desk and a huge line while two or more chit chat behind the desk instead of helping or opening the other register. Unfortunately my experiences with management regarding these issues has been lacking in any sort of resolve. They are non apologetic and have the tone of being irritated by any complaints. Sadly our tax dollars pay these people to be complacent with these failures and the fact they have government jobs seems to give them the security that they can ignore any accountability for them. Zero customer service is what you can expect from the Derry post office. Thankfully every other place I have lived has had a good post office so this isnt an agency wide issue.

We have the worst service. The carrier blasts the horn nonstop and then scolds me if I didnt come out. Since I work at home and Im on the phone with customers all day she gets the dogs upset and barking for 10 minutes or more. Now the post office wont deliver packages to our home because I asked them to stop delivering them if she is going to blast the horn and then scolds me for not being able coming out to get them. I use UPS or Fedex and have no issues whatsoever. I thought after 2 years this was resolved. The other day someone actually did a great job of quietly delivering packages. When I commented on the awesome job come to find out the postmaster told me that the sub delivered them to us by mistake. Unbelievable! Now I am back to getting slips in the mailbox telling me to come wait in line again. My grandfather was a mailman and Im sad to say that this is the worst service I have ever seen. I cant get anything resolved and they refuse to ever deliver our packages. My choice is to miss lunch and wait in long lines to try and get my packages. Over and over I gave tried to resolve this and have had no luck at all. I even opened a UPS box and tried to have my mail forwarded but they ended up delivering my husbands mail there causing issues again.

Where do I begin. My carrier is either illiterate or in so much of a hurry that she cant bother to pick up my mail or deliver the correct mail to my address. Yesterday she almost delivered an expensive piece of electronics. Left it on the lip of the porch floor so that it was soaked by the rain. Had she bothered to ring bell or even push it forward a couple feet, problem would have been solved. Any important piece of outgoing mail I cannot trust to be picked up. I make other arrangements. God help us in Derry!

Why does bypass 28 (highway) has post boxes on one side???? My grandmother got hit by a car trying to get the mail and didnt cross the road on time because idiots drive 60 on it. Every Time i go people hunk and speed up... Why do we have to cross the dangerous road to get mail? put mail boxes on both sides of the street. Besides all this the post office employees are mean to most people that i have observed including me.

I have the best letter carrier!!! He works the downtown area and walking. Kevin is always cheerful and helpful. He is a credit to the USPS. I have always found the desk employees at the post office to be courteous. Wish there were more of them since the lines can get a bit long.

The people who work here are very nice and will go out of their way to help. However, they refuse to leave packages at the main office of The Fairways. UPS and Fedex have no issues doing this. The postmaster is responsible for this. I always select Fedex now.

I stop in a couple times a week to ship packages for work, front desk staff is always friendly, welcoming, and are very helpful with any questions I have.

If you have the time and only have to send out a package, use the Windham NH post office. The Derry post office always has a slow moving, long line
