This post office has horrible hours. If you have a PO BOX like I do you will not be able to get access to it unless you take time off work. They open this location at 8 am until 5 pm which are working hours for most people. They should have the PO BOX area open until 6 or 7pm not 5pm. One lady that works there is rude. Anytime there is a question she acts rude or gives attitude not just me but other customers as well. Stay away and get PO BOX at the main location on 28th as their PO BOX hours are longer. I canceled my PO BOX from this location and moved it there.

North Salem residents are lucky to have this branch. It is convenient, the lines are typically short when compared to the main office in Salem, and the personnel are friendly, courteous, and helpful. My understanding is the U.S. Postal Service has considered closing the North Salem branch for budgetary reasons over recent years. So, although the service hours might be somewhat limited, we should be appreciative of the services that are provided.
