The Employees at the front desk are friendly when you drop off your package. However - I am very sad to report that several packages that I mailed out through the Absecon Post Office location on New Jersey Avenue in New Jersey - have either not arrived at their destination or were destroyed prior to arriving at the destination. (In one case an item I mailed out was taken out of its package - destroyed - then repackaed in a totally different box - then sent on its way). Several times when in person I tried to put a "trace" on a missing package - I was told that it was in "customs". For me "customs" is a code word for STOLEN. I discovered this when I went onto the USPS website and typed in the numbers on the customs receipt. Each time a package went missing - the receipts showed the time the package was dropped off in the Absecon Post Office - and it also shows that there is no more "history" (where it went next). So Ive learned dont ever mail anything that is valuable or not replaceable. :(

I have never had poor service at the Absecon office and I know that one employee who has a hearing problem has a sign informing customers of this. I just called to ask for hours and they answered immediately. People are not patient anymore in this "must have it now" society. I would go back to the old days with the small post offices like Cologne and Pomona where you actually maybe have a friendly relationship between the workers and the regular customers. How many of these complainers were pleasant to the postal employees? We all deserve to respect each other.

This Post office is the Worst!!! Their carriers are horrible. We constantly receive the wrong mail and delivered packages, and we are always looking for our mail. Today while i was asking the Carrier for a package, he delivered one to the wrong house who return it to him, as i stood there, and said that this is the wrong address! We are always bringing our neighbors their mail, and sometimes we get lucky and they bring us ours. Beware if you use are new to the Galloway Area

Called the post office with a question. 1st time I heard the person pick the phone up and hang up. So I called again and the person picked up. My question was answered and there was what seemed to be genuine concern for what I asked.

I have a business and a post office box. Thier new hours are not business friendly at all. 830 to 5:15. Since I work from 8 to 6, i cant check my mail without losing business

These folkd simply do not answer their phone. If you are infirm or immobile, youre just out of luck.
