Horrible service. What happened to the USPS? When I tracked my package online, the site stated that delivery was attempted, which is an outright lie (no slip was left for me and I was by the mailbox at the time delivery was allegedly attempted), and that the package would be available at the post office today. This package is important, so first I went to Dover and was told my package might be at the annex. Drove there, where I was told that they think the carrier has the package and delivery will be attempted again today. The clerk at the annex told me that their system didnt say anything about an attempted delivery - apparently the USPS internal system shows entirely different information about packages than the public website. So I wasted almost two hours today because of the USPS, still havent received my package, and nobody can tell me if/when it will be delivered or even where it is. The male clerk (manager?) with a very condescending attitude at the Dover post office told me that there will be many more people that come in there today with the exact same issue. Obviously this happens all the time and shame on us poor fools for expecting decent service and courtesy. Lesson from all this is dont trust the USPS, especially for mail coming through Dover NJ.

This is only for the Dover, NJ Post Office. I have been trying to get a hold of them but when you call the number that is listed for that post office, I got some lady from customer service in Georgia, what is the point of putting the number on your page if its just going to route you somewhere else. I need to figure out why we are not getting our mail. My bank has sent me insurance cards 3 times (and that is with verifying the address, and they sent them again while I was on the phone with them) and I have yet to receive anything from my bank so I know it is not them it is the post office. This has been the worst post office I have ever dealt with, very unprofessional. I have a case number now so I have to wait 48-72 hours before I hear from them and if I dont hear from them I have to call them back, how much you want to bet I wont hear from them? Im guessing Ill be calling them back but I wont be calling them back I will go down there and talk to the Post Master. Worst post office ever. Best post office I ever dealt with, Spanaway USPS on Mountain Highway in Spanaway, Washington. Never any issues and the guys at the counter were always polite and courtesy and professional.

Google reviews for post offices really dont matter, between Parsippany and Dover we have had nothing but headaches and lost mail. Moved to Randolph Oct. 1st, Parsippany has lost a TON of our mail - checks, gift cards, etc. - that still have not arrived 3+ months later; I guess they are gone forever. Now our apartment cluster mailbox in Randolph fell over on the Sunday after Thanksgiving - 7 WEEKS LATER IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED!!!! Countless calls to Cynthia Torres resulted in her deflecting blame, no ETAs (repeatedly lying to us saying it would be fixed next week), no concern and no attempts to expedite considering how patient and understanding we have been all these weeks. They royally screwed us over the holidays and didnt seem to care. (No blame rests on the actual mailmen though, they are terrific and have been hand-delivering our mail to the leasing agent all this time). Filed a complaint with the Postmaster at Dover Mail Annex, the lazy schmuck never had the courtesy to call us back. So fed up I could spit nails!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sent an important document by Priority Mail. Somehow, the contents were lost and the recipient got an empty envelope. Called to complain, and was told that it was my fault. Asked to get my money back, and was told that if have to go back to wait in line to ask for a refund. I paid $15 to have a letter sent by courier, the envelope but not the letter was delivered, then Im expected to take a half hour to ask for my money back from someone who blames customers for their screw ups? No thanks, Im just never going back again. Dont trust the post office for things that arent important. Do business with someone who stands by their work, and does the job properly. No wonder the Post Office is going bankrupt...

Since our regular postman left, the substitutes have sometimes left mail from other buildings in the mailboxes of my building of this large apartment complex. I never received the bill this month for my cell phone. Who knows what has happened in the other buildings. I discovered that mail is now in my box a whole hour before I normally receive it, which leaves me to suspect that the substitutes are rushing and therefore making SERIOUS mistakes. Mail in the wrong hands could lead to identity theft or late fees for mail never delivered. Please have your letter carriers use the same precautions and care that THEY WOULD LIKE IF IT WAS THEIR MAIL.

My retirement papers were not delivered - TWICE. My retirement was delayed because of it. My daughters credit card was not delivered. Mail was thrown in the bushes by my house. Mail was delivered to a house on a different street around the corner with the same house number. TONIGHT, I found an envelope lying in my yard containing credit cards with the names of the people who live in an apartment complex behind me! There are a couple of good people and a couple of lazy people there, but a few undelivered crucial pieces of mail can really change a life for the worse. FIX THE DOVER POST OFFICE!!!

Agree with other reviewers. Terrible experiences recently. Packages are not being delivered and no valid reasons are provided. Shipping updates simply say "out for delivery" and no other information is available. This time they claim they left me a notice that our mailbox was blocked, but no notice was received, and our mailbox was cleared of snow days ago. I am unable to talk to an actual person to receive any assistance with these issues. Each time I am left wondering where the package is and if I will ever receive it.

Held my package for ransom. Falsely told me they would deliver it 3 days ago. Did not get mailed. Was left a slip. Went to the post office to pick up my package. They said they did not have it and would have to wait for the mail person to come tomorrow. The mail person showed up to my development 30 minutes before their office closed. When confronted with the slip they said they didnt have my package and would have to wait until Monday. Literally the worst mail service out here in this part of new Jersey.

The employees here were patient with me as I was unsure of how to properly ship my packages.. they work hard and are in a high pressure environment. Yet they stop to take care of each customers concerns.... you get what you give in life, so give them respect.. they process a lot of transactions and work hard! Where would we be without our daily mail.. its a thing we often take for granted ;-)
