Do not bring youre vehicle here! First I was told to bring my car in. Then I was told they couldnt get to it to bring it back in 2 days. Then I was told the job (installing the fuel hose, normally a 30 minute job) was going to only cost $100. My bill was for almost $250. I asked if they could get it inspected for me since that was due. They first said no problem. My car sat there all day when I called they said it was in the process of getting inspected. Then I get a phone call saying they couldnt get it inspected meaning I will be overdue. I have been overseas for a long time and was only able to do all of this now. Poor, poor service

I am posting mainly to refute the initial negative review, as I will add little to the other 4 reviews. I have been dealing with Andy and ASC for close to 10 years now and have always found the workmanship excellent and the pricing fair. In addition, ASC has among the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment and literature of any independent shop that I have ever dealt with. My own experience with ASC has been limited to European and Japanese cars (VW, Volvo and Honda) but I know that one of the mechanics there is a long-time Ford mechanic.

Great experience! I live in Toms River and called about a part I needed installed. They were able to get the job done same day and perfectly. Totally worth the 40 minute ride and glad I met a new auto service shop I will definitely use again. The great google rating is accurate and the only two negative reviews were probably the bad apples turning up as usual. This shop is off the beaten bath which is good because there is no BS like other shops.

I found out about this place from other online reviews that were very positive. Ive been going here for a few years now. The positive reviews are true. Andy Schrank and his staff are very knowledgeable and do great work. This is the most honest and least expensive mechanic Ive ever had. Youll know what I mean after coming here a few times. ASC is a great place to fix or take care of your car.

Andy is simply the best - just drop his name at any dealership in the area - his reputation is excellent. I travel 20 mile each way, he is the ONLY person I allow to touch my VW turbo, my CRV and my Town and Country. He knows his stuff, his prices are reasonable, and he only fixes what is broken.

After having a long time problem with my car, and having invested money at other local shops as well as the dealer with no fix in sight, a friend recommended ASC. Their expertise & patience to diagnose the problem was second to none. They have gained a lifelong customer.

These guys are great. Have been having issues with my BMW and they spent the time to troubleshoot and find the issue. They are relaxed, easy to deal with and they tell you the truth about your car. Highly recommend them.
