I had my truck worked on and inspected at Pep boys the day before i took it to Rayco. Pep boys had to redo a worn out bearing, that they replaced 6 months prior, I had them change the rear breaks and if need be replace one of the calipers, that I knew was seized. They told me they cleaned the posts and that it didnt need to be replaced, so I thought great, until later that day I had to drive to Lakewood, and the rear brakes were SMOKING. I took it back to Pep boys, and they told me I would have to have it replaced, which I told them in the first place. I also had Pep boys check the front suspension because I heard a noise every time I hit the uneven driveway by my house. They found NOTHING, and told me it was fine. The next day I went to Rayco for just an exhaust leak, they fixed that in about 15 mins, then I had them take a look at my brakes that Pep boys screwed up, they replaced the caliper, using better parts than Pep boys and replaced all my brake fluid. When the work was done they took it off the lift drove it 15 feet and my drivers side upper control arm bushing broke and the tire was just hanging there. They replaced it right there on the spot and reinspected my front end, they found several worn parts, that needed to be replaced. They were replaced that same day. If that bushing wouldve broken on Rt 35 someone could have died. I have 2 children, that regularly ride with me. Jake and his father saved my familys life. We wouldve been dead or at least had a smashed up truck. When I went back to Pep boys to tell them they didnt check my front end, they told me they did and that everything was fine, that they didnt find anything wrong, and would not reimburse me the cost of the inspection. Lesson learned, Ill never give Pep boys another red cent and will only take any and all of my vehicles to Jake at Rayco. They work faster, and use better parts than Pep boys, and are much friendlier. The grandfather even entertained my son while we waited.

I went to this shop after reading the reviews online. I showed up on a Friday at 2:15 before the 4th of July Holiday weekend. I thought I just needed front brake pads and maybe the rotors resurfaced. So I walked in asked if they had time to help me out. Steve said sure no problem and took my F150 into a bay. He said he would check the rear brakes to. He retuned 15 minuets later and said I neede pads and rotors on the front an rear. I was not to suprised. I kind of thought that more might have to be done. I asked if he time and could get the parts. He said sure we can handle it. After about 20 min Steve came back and said he had to get parts from a couple of places because everyone was closing for the weekend but he was able to get everything and I would be out of the shop by 4:00. After waiting about an hor the truck was done. It was about 3:45. I went to the counter to pay and Steves father asked me my plans for the weekend. I told him I was going to spend it at the beach with my 3 year old daughter. He asked does she like stickers? I said of course. He went to the offce and came back with a pack of stickers and a coloring book for my daughter. Totally unexpected. I will be taking my truck to these guys for now on.

Ordered tires from Tire Rack and had them delivered to Rayco. Because I needed some high performance brakes and parts installed I decided to ask them while I was at it what the cost would be. I got a good feeling from them while on the phone so decided to have them do it. They were cheaper than other quote I had and they were done in a day. Not only that Steve found another item that needed fixed, but is something under warranty so he could have not bothered to tell me or just ignored it. He took me out and explained it to me. Honestly I would never have known, so thanks, let dealer know and have it on record so they can look at it.

Terrible, liars, and they write most of the reviews, had to remove my vehicle as they dented it and refused to acknowledge it. they blocked it in I had police to take a report. than told me CASH only and refused my visa card.... this was after I had my other car there and paid no problems. My vehicle was taken on a trip and the brakes failed after they charged me $3000 to get it ready for a trip, I was not shown any parts. The vehicle was returned filthy and covered inside with grease and bird crap as the windows were left open behind the trashy dirty garage.

Do Not Go There!!! came in for a quoted $35 exhaust leak fix and they bashed holes into my exhaust system and it cost me $350. And I later found out that they did not replace all of the pipes. Went back for replacement of my loud muffler under warranty and they refused to replace it. While it was on the lift one the mexican mechanics started bashing my exhaust system with his shoulder right in front of me. (I guess he thought he could break my manifold). Very Dishonest-have a witness with you

These guys are so thoughtless about helping a stranded motorist. But, more so a local with family and Friends who all are potential customers. They refused to do a minor repair on my car, so that at least I could come back in the morning to address it properly. They refused to even speak to me like a fellow human being! Thank God for AAA their friendly driver had it taken care of in a matter of minutes. Believe the complaints of other former customers. F-F-F-

I purchased used car from them. I inspected the car and paid in full. We picked up the car few days later, car didnt sound the same. After inspection we discovered that catalytic converter was removed from exhaust system and piece of pipe was welded in place of catalytic converter!!!!!!, catalytic converter was still on the car when we paid for it!!!!, People who run this place are the most crooked people I ever met!!! Do your self a favor and stay away !!!

My husband & I have both had work done at Rayco and were satisfied. And, many months after brake work they did on my car, the brake was vibrating & we learned elsewhere that the rotors were out of true. Rayco re-cut them, fixing the problem at no charge. I didnt need to argue with them; they just made good. If theyve had problems in the past, clearly they are working hard to amend their reputation. We will go back.
