DAY 1: My 1997 Dodge Caravan was making a very loud high pitched screeching noise when I tried to drive it during the last round of sub zero weather but as soon as she got up to temperature it stopped ???? Being new to the area & our old mechanic over an hour away we decided to look locally. Read the good reviews on this AAMCO location & decided to give it a try. The service manager Ken was very courteous, listened closely to my explanation & suggested leaving the car overnight so it could be started cold in the am. So far so good ! DAY 2: Ken called around noon, had the car out twice during the morning but could not hear any noise except normal engine sounds. Suggested bringing it back again overnight if the temp was going to get really cold so he can try again. Ken apologized for not being able to find the problem, advised me I was near due for an oil change & that was it. NO laundry list of things that could or should be replaced or repaired ! It was a pleasure to find an honest repair shop. We will be using aamco pt pleasant for our vehicles from now on. Thank you Ken !!

On our way to Point Pleasant, the brake line blew in our car. We called around to local shops and were turned away by all of them with poor excuses. Found a chain store and called them, were told to come right in. Got there and they then told us they couldnt do it as their "guy that does brake lines" wasnt there that day. Now we were truly stranded. Looked on the phone and found Aamco right down the road and went there. We explained our situation and they told us that they were pretty much booked for the day but they would do what they could to help us out. Not only did they help us and get the car fixed for us but they also drove us back to our hotel and came and got us when the car was done. Exceptional service from a business that is likely to never see us again just because we dont live there. They went above and beyond to help us to be sure that our time at the beach wasnt ruined. Great people, great company. If I lived near them, they would be doing all of my car repairs.

I have used Point Pleasant twice now and both experiences were great. A year ago my sons Tacomas transmission was slipping. After an absurd quote from a local (Brick) mechanic we drove it to Point Pleasant Aamco. I was already flustered but Rich walked me through the process, gave us a fair price, kept me abreast throughout and treated my family and our vehicle with a professionalism rarely seen. This past week I thought my Honda Civic was having major issues (it felt funny driving), that same day after checking my vehicle, and a free oil change I was assured the transmission and car were fine and I would not be charged for their time or the oil change. I highly recommended Point Pleasant Aamco to anyone and everyone who may have an issue with their car (as they are complete car care), I could not be happier with their service and professionalism. Thank you again!

I have been having my vehicles repaired at the Point Pleasant AAMCO for several years now. They provide professional service for both the customer and vehicle. They will advise you what repairs your vehicle needs without any pressure. The staff are trustworthy and the repairs are done right the first time. Their service specials and pricing are very competitive. I recently had my transmission serviced (50,000 mile) to maintain the extended warranty and only the necessary items were replaced. The jeep ran like new again upon completion. Additionally, the customer service from all the staff is outstanding. Thank You AAMCO, see you soon!!! Respectfully, Scott.

Car repair and dealing with repair shops has never come easy for me; until now. Our local Aamco changed all that. The mechanics are courteous, professional and ethical. Aamco is our families’ go-to repair shop for all our vehicles. My daughter has a very old 1977 Suburban (I think that’s what it is) and she has never been dissatisfied with the service she receives on her truck. Always given a fair price, work fully explained and detailed in writing before the work is done in a timely fashion. It is refreshing to know that when going to Aamco, you can trust that there won’t be any surprises when your work is complete. I recommend it to anyone I can.

Taking your car in is for repair because it stopped working not general upkeep is a sick feeling. Unfortunately I know. I do it often. Thats why I go to Pt. Pleasant AAMCO. Aaron the owner makes the ordeal better with his humor. Taking your mind off the problem. Rich is always kind and professional as is all employees there. The work is always quoted out before repairs. I have full trust in there diagnosis and recommendations on work to be done. Tired of getting ripped off or jerked around go to Pt. Pleasant AAMCO. Plus they have EZ Pay. Gotta love that!

I am very wary about fixing my cars. I have three and my experience has ranged across the spectrum. My experience at AAMCO Point Pleasant was one of the best and they will now be my complete car care mechanic. My daughters Acura was acting very jerky switching between gears. My car was fixed quickly and expertly. I was kept informed with no BSing around. Best of all they worked with me on pricing and payment options. Highly recommended. Ill be recommending Point Pleasant AAMCO to anyone I know who needs car work done.

After finding a large puddle of transmission fluid under my Dodge Charger one morning, I called the Point Pleasant AAMCO and explained the situation. I brought my car into the station in the late morning and not only did I get a call back fairly quickly with the diagnosis, my car was fixed and back on the road by the end of the day. I was very satisfied with my experience (the repair was reasonably priced on top of the good service) and I would recommend their shop to anyone looking for a mechanic.

The people at AAMCO are a bright group of dependable mechanics who all work together to fix your car. They understand that cars are not just manufactured goods like washing machines and dryers but when driving, an extension of our-selfs, that we NEED (sadly) to use everyday and a mobile place of sanctuary that follows us at the ready on our next adventure. Also they do their best work with transmissions. Their rebuilt models work well and the pricing can not be beaten by any other local shop.

Went to AAMCO for a transmission repair. They were great with keeping me updated throughout the process and the job was finished in 2 days at a very good price. Everyone here is very friendly and honest. When I took the car back as part of a warranty policy for them to make sure everything was still okay, they noticed I needed an oil change and did it for free. I would deffinatley come back to AAMCO for future repairs and matienence and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Although I have had problems at other auto repair shops before, this place was different. The staff at Aamco took the time to explain my damage and gave me options so as I could make my own decisions .Although I had no idea the cost of a transmission repair I did feel I got a good value for the money I spent.I was also glad to hear they did other repairs as well.I will continue to use and would tell my friends to stop in as I took a chance..GLAD I DID.
