I joined the gym from Feb 09. I kept going every month only to hear, like a lot of others, that it would opening the 15th of the next month. Finally, on June 15th, they told me it would open on June 25th. I asked for the 100th time, "when will the money come out of my account?" The girl told me I would get a letter or card in the mail to tell me the date. I did not receive anything in the mail. The money for my daughter and I came out suddenly without notice, causing my account to overdraft twice! This was a domino effect, as that overdraft charges caused my other bills to not get paid. I went with my bank statement to see the manager Tara. She was frustrated as she was complaining even before she got to me that "I am being dragged 4 different directions." When it came to my turn, she was already showing a attitude. I explained my situation. She responded with such phrases as " Its not our fault you didnt have money in your account" "Its not our fault your bank did that to you" I told her it was their staffs responsibility to give me the correct info, she said " you cant even give me a name". I felt truly disrespected and insulted at the way she treated me. I cannot believe that a new establishment would treat new customers this way. I am disappointed and saddened that I waited so long for this gym to open, only to have such unprofessional staff such as Tara ruin my time at the gym.

Fitness 2 fits the bill for a serious place to workout. For $10/mo I am thrilled with what it offers: new cardio and weight training equipment that works beautifully, clean facilities, a full assortment of free weights and other exercise equipment (like balls, mats, straps, jump rope, and bands), well-supplied locker room, free parking, and friendly staff. It is not a spa, but if all you want is a good workout, who needs a spa? From the bad "press" related to the terrible delays in opening and the credit card snafus, I was expecting dismal results but am thrilled at what Im getting. Sometimes the treadmills and other cardio machines in the women-only room gets crowded, but I just go with the flow and do something else until a machine frees up. The cost for just dropping into any other gym for the day or taking a single exercise class is at least 50%-100% more than Fitness 2s full monthly cost, so how can you go wrong? (Think about all the other stuff you for which you throw away $10: Seen a bad movie lately?)

My husband and I joined months ago and were told that they would be opening in February 09 and that we would receive papers in the mail. As of today we still do not have any papers, we are not in their system and nobody has a clue. The May 15th date has been AGAIN pushed to June 15th. What kind of place runs a business like this. I can already tell that the customer service is going to be terrible if the staff acts like they do not want to work there and have no clue as to what is happening in their own place of work. I only joined because it seemed like a good deal and the location was great. But now I think I would rather pay more and go to a Reputable gym. It does not even deserve one star

Dont join this gym. Not only will they over charge your credit card but they will charge $9 late fee even if its there fault that their processor didnt work. The owner of this gym (donnie) is the worst person i have ever met. By the way good luck trying to reach any manager. The manager donnie treats his employees like animals and threatens them everyday to fire them if they drink water. He also acusses his employees and the members for anything bad that happens to him or his cheap gym. And yea its $10 but its clearly the most unsafe gym and cheapest gym. Their service is horrible but its all because the owner himself is horrible person/manager.

honestly there no one you can talk to in there. they do not have a manager in place. the staff can not help you all the time because many things are with in there power like... changing the tvs from cartoonnetwork to sports. i dont know how many people watch cartoons at the gym but you i dont. the place is already trashed, theres halls in the walls. the only way to get in contact with a manager or owner is leaving a message. it takes more than a week for them to call back, my credit card has been charged over 3 times in the same month...why?

A friend told me about this gym and the great prices they were offering. They only opened late last month. Went over this morning and joined for 24 months for only $180 payable upon joining. Thats only $7.50 per month. There is no better deal anywhere. As far as the gym goes, it has surpassed all my expectations. Tons of brand new top quality equipment and the place is immaculate to say the least. I had been a member in the past with World Gym (Paramus) and Body by Designs (Paramus) and they are way overpriced for what they offer.

Small and cramped weights area, always packed, clumsy rubber weights, and did I mention always packed? Canceling my policy soon, b/c Im tired of sharing a machine with two other groups. The rubber balls they have are never inflated appropriately and you feel like theyll pop any moment b/c they ordered the thin skinned type to shave costs. I notice several machines are also missing (ie leg raise). Not good for anybody whos past their first month of training. Only good thing are okay locker rooms for the price.

This place is cool and cheap. theres nothing fancy. its good equipment, a selection of weights. as far as hidden fees, i dont know what the previous reviewer is referring to, and as far as the weights go, it makes sense not to just drop anything on the floor, its disruptive not to mention not safe on any account. quite honestly, if you can get a good workout for 10$ a month, why would you go to a place that charges 50+ for the same thing. if noise bothers you, bring an ipod and enjoy your treadmill.

Been going there for 3 years now. It is relatively clean and the staff have always been polite and pleasant to be around. Like any gym there are rush zones when many people get off work but its never really been so large of a crowd that I couldnt get my workouts in the way I wanted. Even when there is a crowd Ive yet to have a problem with any other members. Its pretty low priced compared to every other gym I looked at and its well equipped. Personally I really love it here.

Ever deal with a company that doesnt get it? Ive dealt with rude staff, no return calls, no manager presence and ignorance. My complaint is not on the physical, but more on the management. I would bring my business to another place with better equipment, hours and stability. This place is bound to close one day soon and then your membership doesnt exist. Thats the problem with these "wanna be" gyms.

I guess the last reviewer had an axe to grind. There is absolutely nothing that unsafe or lacking integrity at Fitness2. This gym is clean and well-maintained. I have yet to heard anything over the loudspeakers about not banging the weights, and I go there frequently. If you aredropping weights, then maybe you are lifting too heavy. THAT is unsafe!
