THIEFS, CROOKS AND BLOOD SUCKERS. That is how I would describe the management from Club Fit in Teaneck. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. I joined this dirty, smelly gym back in 09' and I tried to cancel my membership long after my contract had expired. The owner ( a total prick and charlatan ) informed me that I had to pay three months worth of membership after I cancelled it. He started to explain to me, that the clients are stupid and do not read the membership form before signing up. Well I did read the form before and there was no mention of his stupid three month cancellation fee.
In the past I was a member of NYSC, Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, Bally's and 24hr Fitness but I never experienced such a ruthless, rude, no manner, excuse of a management like Club Fit in Teaneck NJ.
PLEASE, PLEASE, do not even step close to this gym. They are liars, careless people. The owner is the worst. He has no clue how to run a business. First rule is that you listen to your client, and if one or more complain about the same issue you will try to fix that problem. If more people spread the word around this little guy won't be in business for much longer.

I wish I had read these reviews before signing up. I joined two months ago and may just eat the three months fee and cancel my membership. The childcare facility is dirty-the rug is absolutely filthy, the toys are dirty and the evening staff had nothing to say when leaving my son for the first time but "membership ID number" and "whats his name"-not even hello to my son or a smile. (The daytime staff is much nicer and seems to actually like children). As confirmed by others, the classes are good, but the machines are often very dirty, no staff member to be seen cleaning them off (they can be found downstairs chatting with each other) . At my last visit there were four treadmills broken-all had "emergency stop button" issues and the some of TVs didnt work. 90 days membership might be a small price to pay to get out of this contract-even with buy one, get one free and convenience I am not sure this gym is worth 30 dollars a month, even for two people.

I have been going to this gym since I was in high school. I have dabbled in other gyms across the region. Although my personal fitness goals might have changed, the essential tools needed to achieve those goals have not changed. Dedication, determination, and discipline are all that is needed to accomplish any goal. Distractions can delay or derail any potential goal. But what keeps me coming to this gym in particular, are the lack of distractions. I focus better on the execution of my exercises and have gotten better results than at other gyms. The comradery, knowledge, and experience that is shared between the patrons is also a major bonus. This gym has helped me learn a lot about myself and exercise in general. If you are not a member, check it out and see if it works. I am glad I did.

In summary, they suck big time! They are scammers extraordinaire. Ditto to what others said earlier about their cancellation policy. They dont accept cancellation over the phone. Must come in IN PERSON and write your cancellation request 90 days before they will cancel it. I did just that which was a pain in the butt to begin with since they will only deal with cancellations when the owner is there which is 9am-3pm. Who in the world has time to do that during a mid day? Only someone that has no job. Thats what they are counting on. And even if you cancel in writing, they continue charging. You have to call again and make a big stink. The woman that works by the front desk turns into a really rude person when you try to cancel. Old equipment. Dirty. Overall a trashy place.

Horrible Horrible. There are certain spin teachers that are wonderful here and have a following so the classes are full. Unfortunately all of the bikes are very old and in complete disrepair. Last year during a spin class a woman who was very experienced fell off of the bike when the seat broke and broke her tail bone. Just last night a pedal broke off of another womans bike 10 minutes into class and wouldnt unclip from her shoe. 20 minutes later during class another mans bikes chain broke. They are lucky she didnt sue. The place is filthy. The sanitizing things have been empty for months. As the owner says, what do you expect for $25 per month and unlimited classes? Is the injury from equipment that is not maintained worth $25 per month?

For me, Club Fit is a really good gym. Theres plenty of equipment, lots of space, the atmosphere is friendly, the staff is helpful and for whatever training you have in mind - light intensity, taking it slow, high intensity, cardio, strength training, et cetera - Club Fit is an ideal place to do it. All the tools needed for fitness, strength and health are at your disposal, from classes, free weights, machines, dumbbells, treadmills, cardio equipment - the works, its all there. Im grateful for the health benefits of regular exercise, and Club Fit is a good gym to do it in. As the saying goes - Just Do It!

I left Club Fit over a year and a half ago and went to one of those fancy gyms. I am baaack. The improvements in the past year are outstanding. The owner, Dave, continues to come up with ideas to make this neighborhood gym a destination to work out the sweats. The bells and whistles of the high priced gyms, like the pool or the smoothie station I never used. What I needed was good pricing, convenience and like minded people. I found it again. Its worth a second look.

this place is great. i have been working out there for almost three and a half years. their class program is very good. timings and class schedule is posted in a very timely and correct way. i like the way they have redesigned their website. it is extremely helpful and informative now than what it was before. the gym itself is very well equipped with new machines replacing the old ones all the time. freindly staff and instructors. overall, a very nice workout experience.

I have been a member of Club Fit for 6 months and I love it. The gym is going through an exciting transformation with new equipment, a lounge area, and classes moved upstairs. Included in the membership is unlimited classes. My favorite class is Zumba + Sculpting with Glynnis. She is the most enthusiastic and motivated teacher I have seen in a long time. Her high-energy routines and music make the 1-hour class so much fun. I love to workout now.
