Due to a lack of effort or knowledge from a single clerk, I had to repackage the same piece of mail 5 times before successfully sending it. Please keep in mind that this single clerk, from my experience alone, has been working at the Bridgewater USPS Office for at least 4 years. So a lack of knowledge was most likely not the case. 1st issue that the clerk informed me about is that I used the wrong type of envelope. 2nd issue was that my label was wrong. 3rd issue was that I had the correct label but it was only marked for 6oz. 4th issue was that my envelope was too thick. At this point, I was dumbfounded. I once again proceeded to ask the clerk what to do. The clerk replied, "I do not know" and laughed. 5th attempt was at a different location with zero issues. The amount of time and money I have unnecessarily spent to send this one piece of mail is beyond disappointing. Why didnt this single clerk not tell me exactly what to do, step by step, after seeing me struggle for the 3rd time, is something I believe anyone would have a hard time answering. I was not even left with a solution to my 4th issue. I called the Supervisor from the Bridgewater USPS Office and inform the Supervisor about the 4th issue. The Supervisor apologized to me and said there is no such policy of a priority mail item being too thick. If it fits, it ships. This is just one of the unfortunate experiences I have had at the Bridgewater USPS Office. Quickly, I would just like to mention another. One time, I was having a hard time hearing the clerk, a different clerk than mentioned above, so I asked the clerk to repeat herself. The clerk threw her hands up in the air, said, "What dont you understand?", and proceeded to shake her head.

I dont want to event give them a star..What terrible customer service. I went to drop a prepaid/pre-labeled package and notice I needed just a SMALL piece of tape at the bottom of a small box just to make sure my package didnt open in transit. First the associate there was not approachable at all. Not a welcoming location at all. Well when I asked just for a SMALL piece of tape the associate begins to tell me I shouldve had it packaged and taped properly before I brought it there (things happen and some times we miss things, were human!!). Then he suggests I go back home to repackage and come back. All I needed was a SMALL piece of tape. The post office in Plainfield is MUCH more accommodating and great customer service. Terrible customer service at the Bridgewater Location.

I would like to give them 0 stars. Lost my packages twice within two weeks. Called to make a complaint and its the same story: The package was delivered or theyll talk to the mail person who delivered it. Ive seen them throw packages onto doorsteps, because theyre too lazy to climb the stairs. What if theres something fragile being shipped? I also received my neighbors mail and mail from people who live several towns away. How hard is it to read the address and make sure its delivered to the right residence. They dont care about their jobs or know what good customer service is. If you dont like your job, quit. Youre not being forced to work for the post office.

Absolutely terrible post office. We have lived in Bridgewater for 2 years and we have yet to receive a package that isnt damaged /misdelivered. The letter carrier throws packages on the lawn, in the middle of the driveway like a paperboy, or on the street next to the mailbox. When I call to complain or go to the post office the postmaster gets angry and denies the complaint and says she doesnt have time for this. I dont call and complain when the mailman drives through part of my lawn or takes naps / sorts his truck in my driveway. In return I should at least get undamaged deliveries.

Horrible post office to deal with. The workers are rude, and some barely speak english. The carriers also tend to be lazy, and will either leave packages sticking out of the mailbox, drop them in front of a garage door. We were expecting a package that required an adult signature, but the carrier was too lazy to come to the door and left and notice in the mailbox. There were 5 people here at the time! Avoid this post office if you can, the one in Martinsville may be smaller, but the people working there are a lot nicer and dont treat you like garbage.

The hours for this post office are completely unreasonable. They expect people to be home from work in the middle of the day to go to the post office. Their evening and weekend hours are limited. The mail delivery service is unreliable. The postmen come at random times during the day and it is difficult to estimate when to put the mail in the mailbox. Also, they deliver mail to the wrong address and sometimes fail to collect mail from the mailbox during the week. This is unacceptable.

They mix up packages/deliveries big time so youre left to just imagine that the package youre expecting is there because if the postman said its been delivered then "its been delivered". Since i moved here a couple of months ago, i failed to receive a greeting card and a package, and those are only the ones i know of. who knows what else i havent received. the good thing is, there is always room for improvement, so im hoping they would.

This post is a disgrace to my tax dollars. We have had nothing but problems since moving into our house 6 years ago. We receive mail for the wrong street and wrong house number. We also dont receive mail at all like the pse&g bill or the water bill. No matter how many times I call the postmaster, I always get the same answer, "well talk to the mailman". What good does that do? Fire him/her if they cant read the right information!

Terrible customer service. Should provide free USPS boxes if shipping with a USPS label, there are only more priority or flat rate boxes, which dont fit my label. When I asked the workers, they were rude and didnt provide any options other than for me to spend money buying a new box.

I dont have the situations like the other complaints... My mailman & mail lady deliver my parcels & mail accurately in my mailbox or at my front door. They are also curteous and friendly. I love the service they provide
