I was unsettled to discover that my cars brakes, which had recently become locked up and were fixed at another local mechanic, were originally fixed at this Meineke just one month ago. I went to another mechanic because my car could not be driven and had to stop at the nearest location. I had the repairs done and noticed that the part that needed to be replaced was the exact same part that was replaced one month earlier at this Meineke location. Upon completion of the repair, I went to Meineke immediately to solicit a solution to the part which was apparently faulty. However, I was not given a refund due to the fact that this specific part (rear brake caliper) needed to be returned to the manufacturer in order to refunded properly. I did not have the part as the other mechanic also needed to submit this part to the manufacturer. Thus I arrived at the predicament where I was offered no solution other than to purchase the part back from the other mechanic and return it back to Meineke for a partial refund. Obviously, the labor was not refunded which is unfortunate but somewhat understandable, but the manner in which I was treated during this situation was very disappointing. I was confronted by the entire crew of workers at this location and shouted at in an effort to tell me that there was no other solution than the one in which I was to return the parts that were repaired. Upon obtaining these parts and returning the next day, I provided everything that they asked yet was treated terribly by once again bringing the entire crew in front of me and berating me for make a foolish choice in going to another mechanic when my car broke down (even though I would have had to pay to tow the car). I have been a very loyal customer to this particular store having moved into a different area and still making the trip back for the last 9 years that Ive lived in the Northern NJ area. To say that Im disappointed would be a severe understatement.

Every single time I walk in here, I leave extremely ticked off. I walked in here with 4 motorcycle mufflers, already detached and all they needed was welding on the tips. They wanted to charge me $25 a muffler so $100! I literally went down the street to Bloomfield Ave. and the shop wouldnt even take money for it. The guy just asked me to tip the kid that did the welding so I gave him $30. Im done with even thinking about this place as an option. Theyre all extremely rude and nasty people.

Ive been going here for oil changes and basic repairs for years. I find that when youre a woman, mechanics tend to try to rip you off a lot, telling you you need some unnecessary repairs and parts, but Benny is a good guy. Hell check out a problem at no cost, and call me with the accurate estimate before doing the work. Theyve also taken care of some minor stuff at no cost. Theyve never ripped me off and I trust them.

The place is a joke. Asked for an oil change, they rudely rolled eyes and went on to ask about synthetic or regular, how many quarts etc. I said Im not a mechanic and this is why I came here! They ended up not having any synthetic oil at their location. Yikes. Place also looks like a dump, definitely an eye sore for the surrounding area. Reviews and word of mouth will eventually run them out.

Best place for any car service... If I think I need something and ask them to check...they usually say that I dont need to do that... Unlike a lot of places that tell you that you need to do something when you dont... I would give them 10 stars if I could!
