Ive been seeing Mike to repair and/or maintain my vehicles for over 10 years. You will not find another shop anywhere in NJ with the highest level of integrity, honesty, quality of service, professionalism, quick turnaround time, and fair pricing that Cedar Grove Transmission provides. And dont let the name fool you, as these guys are experts in all areas of auto repair. It is truly refreshing to know that you can take your car in for service blind-folded and never again get ripped-off. The only worry I have is if Mike ever decides to retire or sell his shop - what am I to do??

Very glad to have finally found a good and trustworthy local mechanic. My wife found Mike while we were shopping for a use car and wanted to have it checked out before deciding. She was impressed with his service so I set up for an oil change and to have my brakes done at the suggestion of a prior mechanic. Mike said that I still had wear left in the pads. Two oil changes later and still no need for the brake job. It is refreshing to find a mechanic that will advise you as a partner and not just try to sell you more repairs to improve their bottom line.

Mike is great!! This was my first time here, on a recommendation from friends, and this was the best experience Ive ever had with car repairs. Ive been driving cars til the wheels fall off for almost 25 years. Mike gave my car a thorough assessment and handled all the emergency stuff, but he didnt scare me into thinking my car needed a complete overhaul. He does fast, thorough work at a reasonable price. Im so relieved to have found a reliable service person.

I had these guys rebuild the transmission on my Saturn LS1. I have to say that after they did it, I didnt expect the car to run better, or more smoothly, but it did. I mean, it really runs like new. I was very happy with the results. Cost was $2800 after taxes. Not sure if that alot, but it was what it was, and its much cheaper than a new car. Decide on cost for yourself. And always ask for an estimate first.
