My wife took our car here because it was close to work. She had a minor accident where the car slid into a concrete barrier damaging the rim and tire. We took it to another mechanic who replaced the rim but failed to notice that the hub bearing was seriously damaged (I noticed within seconds of riding in the car). So we took it to Meineke Car Care Center in Elizabeth to have the bearing replaced. Big mistake. First they promise that they can have the bearing installed by the end of the day. Then they apparently ordered the wrong part, so the car had to sit there for another day, and they said they would charge us to put it back together if we wanted to drive it. Finally we get the car back, and the speedometer is not work, the Anti-lock breaks are broken, and there is a large clunking sound in the wheel well, which I believed to be a broken strut. We took it back to Meineke, and they were able to fix the speedometer and ABS. Finally, we took it to the dealer (fed up with bad mechanics at Meineke), and they said that Meineke had given back the car completely unsafe to drive. The strut and strut bearing were torn completely off of the car. Beware of this autoshop.

This is my history. I went to this location which I found in the internet and follow it because of the good reviews "BAD IDEA"... my problem was a rust-hole on the pipe between the catalytic and muffler. The solution: replace aprox 10 inches of the pipe with a... "special flex converter" he said. Cost $185 total: $110 flex converter pipe; $75 for installation and labor. I asked for a cheap part because the price but he couldnt in the part but the labor, so $60 labor would be the deal. I mentioned have it a "flex converter extension" bought it previously for just $17 bucks in Advance Auto Parts! .... and I need just labor. Then Meinekes nice attitude, perfect review, customer service and PRICE change totally. Finally, I change the whole thing that I found in AB&S auto parts, a place two blocks down from "Meineke CAR CARE ...? jajaja Exhaust system: pipes and muffler and labor for a great total of $165 Advice: do you research, compare prices and NEVER GO TO MEINEKE

Do not go here, they are scam artists, I paid $95 for the Supreme oil change with synthetic oil and they were supposed to have rotated and balanced tires and also top of all fluids. None of that was done. Tires were rotated but never balanced and fluids were never topped off. Now my car shakes on the highway and they are not trying to fix the problem they caused. Telling me to bring it in in a week when they can look at it. Worst service and bad repair work. Do not go here , this place and its owner are worthless.

We are grateful for the professionalism and integrity demonstrated by Manny and his team at Meineke Elizabeth. A local airport parking facility damaged our vehicle while I was traveling on business. We didnt know any repair shop in the area, and All State recommended Meineke. Manny diagnosed and repaired the problem exactly as promised (and at the price my local mechanic privately told me it should cost). We really appreciate Manny and Meinekes help at a time we needed it.

Manny is absolutely phenomenal. Hes friendly, direct, and driven to render the most amazing service to customers. Hes so genuine its unbelievable, and he actually takes the time to find out whats wrong with your car, and how he can save you time and money.....I rarely, if ever, have encountered a mechanic who was straightforward and not an up seller of things my car did not need. I simply came in for an oil change and left with a new mechanic that I can go to.

The prices here are absolutely unbeatable!! I got a few estimates for my car to have the catalytic converters replaced, I went to a few places in the area and most the quotes were well over 900 dollars to do entire job. I brought it into Meineke and they charged me under 600 dollars!!! The car is running great and I am very thankful for everyone working there. They were really friendly and explained everything so well. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

The manager was very friendly and honest. I had previously gone to a different repair shop and they told me I needed almost 1000 dollars worth of work. When I brought it to this Meineke the manager said I did not need all that stuff and he did only the necessary repairs and out the door I paid 200 bucks. Honest, friendly and the coffee is pretty good. HIghly Recommended!!!

I found these guys on the internet because my car was making a weird noise. I saw the offer and figured why not try them out. They were really nice and answered all of my questions about what the potential problem/cost could be. My problem turned out to be pretty minor and I saved money by using the coupon. I would not hesitate to go back if I have another problem.

Despite a national contract with Meineke, the Manager would not service fleet vehicles because he "wouldnt be paid on the spot". The waiting area is a mess and had a much better experience with Good-Year (3 miles down the road). If you dont want my business, I am happy to go elsewhere as there are plenty of options in the area. Your loss.

HANDS DOWN the greatest welder in town, my buddy referred me to them to get my exhaust put on my Corvette. The mechanic really took his time and was absolutely meticulous in his work, and on top of that they quoted me much less than other places I went too. I will be bringing all my cars to them and really appreciate Manny and his team!!

I disagree with the comments regarding the attitude of the manager, in fact he was very kind and demonstrated complete professionalism. He charged me way less than the other places I went too. Very honest and kind manager. I always bring my cars here and have told my family and friends about it, I highly recommend this place..

Ive been coming here for years now and this is the best and most trustworthy mechanic shop in the area. I recommend this place and suggest making an appointnent before hand cuz it gets pretty busy, but for good reason.
