I would not suggest Firestone at the Linden, NJ location to anyone. I had a flat tire because a nail was jammed in it, so I took it to Firestone at this location for repair. I went early on Saturday to have it repaired. The service took about an hour and a half. I went home happy. In two days, another tire had gone flat, but because of a bent rim. I had never had this problem before. I took the car back to Firestone in Linden the following Saturday sometime after noon. Wait time was about 3.5 - 4 hrs. I finally left Firestone close to 6PM. Monday morning, the tire is going flat again, so I will have to have it repaired for a third time! I will not be taking my car back to this Firestone. I have been a loyal customer to Firestone in Middletown, NY, and their services are excellent! I figured that I would take my car to the Firestone in Linden, NJ, expecting similar quality service and was very disappointed. In the Middletown, NY Firestone, their customer service rep would explain to me what the damage was on my car, how it could have happened, what they did to repair it, and how I can avoid such damage in the future. If there is a possibility that there are any issues with the repair/maintenance that they performed, they tell me to bring it right back to them and they will have it fixed (which I have never had to do because there has never been anything wrong with the work that they do to my car). In Linden, NJ, I get no explanation. After a long wait, the customer rep notifies me that my car is done, and that the air leakage on the tire is due to the rim with no explanation, no friendly offer to return the car if there is anything wrong with it, or explanation of what they did. I would not recommend this Firestone to anyone. In fact, I would suggest to anyone NOT to take their car to the Linden, NJ Firestone location.

Do not, I repeat, do not risk taking your vehicle to Firestone to have it serviced. Particularly the location on St. George Ave in Linden. Their mechanics confessed to accidently destroying my engine because they failed to put the proper amount of oil in my vehicle during my RECENT oil change. AMAZINGLY I was still left with absolutely nothing. Their honest mechanics told me that I was not liable and that it would be taken care of. Unfortunately this was not the case. The Firestone claims agent, Carlos Hernandez called me and quickly read a report OVER THE PHONE and in his last words just said that Firestone was not liable. He did not apologize or offer any advice....nothing! I asked so what know? Find a way to remove my disabled vehicle off the property and have a nice life? His reply was "yes". To make matters worse, I asked him for a copy of the report and he told me "No". When I asked why cant I have a report of an inspection done on my own vehicle he told me that I would have to have it court ordered. What in the world!? I have patronized them and given them a substantial amount of money just to get jerked in the end. I have no car. I had a tune up service done two months prior, and an oil change....yet I was told my engine died because of the lack of oil. I also had a new battery installed and four new tires form them! And this is how they treat their customers. Be warned!

Best place for tires around this area! I bought 4 new tires for my work van, Andreu was very nice and honest guy (and I went almost when they were about to close) I didnt want to spend much just for a good brand, so he suggested me a good economic option for about 90 Bucks each installed, + 50k milles warranty I was expecting to pay more because this van use heavy duty tires... so I was able to purchase a great deal! Unlimited wheel tire alignment for $165! YES UNLIMITED!! I was very happy that day but for some reason the next day I was driving by the metal recycling area and one tire got a hole cause by a piece of metal... I know it was my fault so I called Andreu and I said to me... no problem well take care of you! And he did. He changed the tire, got me a new one for FREE. This talks how good and professional this place is. 5 moths later Im back for a free tire rotation and a free check alignment!! Cant be more happy!

I scheduled an appointment for 4 tires that were good quality with a bonus $90 visa card. When I got to the place, the man told me the tires were not available so I could not receive the bonus; he said the offer was not available yet. I told him they advertised it online and he repeated that it was not available. I had to have tires so I settled for 4 others. After installation he did say I needed an alignment on the front right, which was $89 and another hours wait. I didnt want to spend that so I said no. Other shops will do free alignment with 4 tire purchase. I posted this review on consumer affairs website and at first they told me they would forward the complaint to the store manager (for what?) and after I replied firestone responded with another email to reach them and I sent the email only to be ignored and never received any type of response since. Thats bad business.

Very honest, but not very competent. I took my car to them for stalling while idling and they suggested a bunch of things but never noticed that the fresh air intake hose was completely and thoroughly cracked (and that is like right in front of their faces). My father in law who is not even a mechanic just came in with a new piece and fixed it in less than an hr and its like brand new now. These mechanics suggested repairs totalling hundreds of dollars which I did and that did not solve the problem at all. As I said, very honest people- I think they just do not know how to fix cars all that well besides the routine oil changes, tune ups, etc. Btw, excellent deals on oil changes!

Horrible experience coming here today i brought my car in for a inspection before i handed my keys over there was no leaking of steering fluid of the sort what so ever by the time my car was done being inspected my car was leaking fluid and will not even hold one drop im am told i need over $1500 in repairs when i only came in for an inspection for my steering wheel and the car was driving FINE now it wont even move off the firestone parking lot i am utterly disgusted with the service I retrieved from this firestone team my car was VANDALIZED for them to make their numbers !

My tire needed a patch to repair a slow leak. The repair was done quickly enough but the tire pressure in all 4 tires was not correct. Before I left the store I asked the manager if the pressure on the tires was checked. He said yes. But in reality none of them were checked. Not even the repaired tire. I drove home with a tire pressure of 26 when it should have been 35. No one wants to do business with a person who is not only lazy but lies to you. I will never go back.
