I should have read the reviews before I ever went to Meineke Car Center in Maplewood, NJ. Everything (negative) that others have already mentioned about Vinnie (the owner) such as being rude, loud-mouthed, and OVER-PRICING people is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!!. He talks about his so-called knowledge in auto mechanics compared to other car care places, but hes only lying and trying to rip you off. Their service is no better than many other places. If you can ever get a computer print out with pricing from him - please call other places and/or search the internet for pricing - and you will see for yourself. When you start to question Vinnie about prices - he becomes upset. Dont go here, you WILL find better places to give your business to.

Dont listen to the other reviewers who give Vinnie a bad name. Vinnie has been in business for over 19 years at the same location servicing Maplewood and the surrounding areas because of his integrity, honesty and workmanship. Prior to relocating to the area I would drive 30 minutes to Maplewood just to have my car be serviced by him because local shops in Jersey City royally ripped me off. He has always been fair, never overcharged me for parts and helps prioritize repairs based on need and urgency. He has over 45 years working as a mechanic and I trust him completely for all my car care needs. Anyone who says differently doesnt have a clue what car maintenance entails. I highly recommend to everyone I know who drives.

This is the worst place ever. the owner is the rudest person in the world, with the worst customer service ever. i called in for price quote on rotors on my Audi, he drops the phone on me initially the when i call back he proceeds to insult me, complaining oh i work 100 hours or go to Walmart to buy rotors, because i jokingly suggest i would like to pay $1.who in their right mind would actually pay $1 for car service?? the owner is rude and unprofessional especially in a customer oriented business. people stay away from this place worst business ever.

I recently had to visit the Meineke shop at Springfield Avenue, Maplewood, NJ. My experience there was exceptional and professional. Vinny, the attendant, was very hospitable and kept me informed at all times what was being done to my vehicle. The mechanics were knowledgeable and treated me with respect at all times. Working in my car is not easy since it is small sometimes we dont give the car mechanics the respect they need. The workers there are troopers and Vinny exceptionally nice to me and considerate of my time.

The manager, Vinny, is actively out to make you pay more. Why do I say this? - He wont give any price information unless you come to the shop and have a diagnostic - He asks for what others are offering to do the job before telling you his price - He gets loud and aggressive when you ask for a better price With all the other choices out there, why would you bother with Meineke? Go someplace else

Ive had nothing but good things to say about this location. Theyve worked on my SUV for over 5 years and the experience is always great. The owner is straightforward with how much your repair will cost and you can choose the type of parts are best to repair your vehicle. You can even bring your own parts if you choose.

The owner is very rude and talked down on me. Im a new driver and am not used to taking care of my car. So I was asking him for pricing and questions about how often I should do things. He spoke to me like Im the most retarded person in the world. Didnt even bother getting his service. Worst business owner ever.

I had a muffler issue Vinnie and staff were very knowledgeable with my muffler problem and it was fixed with no problems what so ever I will be sure to recommend Meineke Car Care Center to my family and friends. I will have no problem going back to see Vinnie if another problem comes up.

I have been there twice for exhaust service on my Audi A4 and the quality of the work and price were outstanding. Its a very small location and quite busy; the owner maybe be a little harried at times, but hes honest and hell fixed your car for fraction of what others typically charge.

I called for pricing the owner spoke to me as if I was a child, cut me off everytime I tired to explain the issue my car was having, a customer should never have to deal what I dealt with, its just not good business. Please dont take your vehicle to this location.

Really great service, had 2 expensive jobs done: rack & pinion, complete brake job w/ front calipers on 03 Accord. Very nice staff competent and overall very good. Professionalism may be an issue for some wasnt for me, guys like to joke around.

Anytime i need custom or tailored exhaust work, this is the place i go. Ive dealt with Vinny for many years, never a problem,he is very trustworthy his place gets super busy, so i get thier early so i dont deal with crowds.

They are super friendly and will drop you off and pick you up BUT do your research the prices are out of this world high. When you think the price is reasonable check somewhere else you will get Dame quality for better work.
